Image IPBImage IPBYeah, the auction packs are pretty cool I guess, but I had hoped each item would be auctioned by themselves, so then people like us with a smaller amount of tokens have a chance at something towards the end of the auction period.

No - they are waiting for the 'big' prizes to come up again I think.

That is likely the case, but I still don't think us little guys have much of a chance, I mean a few people have 10000+ points, but how many of use have less than 6k, that aren't even getting a chance to bid...

Auctions would be cool if I had even close to enough points to get anything. I guess owning pretty much every bioware game they've put out isn't enough.

click on my link anyway please, with any luck I may get a comic or shirt

hopes for me went down the drain also. :( sucks. i advertised my LINK for 5 days or so and only got 22 clicks. seems that everyone on the internet is paranoid of getting stuff stolen. I would be too, i guess, if i didnt know what this was for. standin at 6700 tokens or so right now. I thought that would be enough to get something, but i guess not.

This is when knowing how to write a script really pays off. How did someone have 16k points to win the computer?

Thanks, may try that to see if I can get some more points.

If we buy a game thru EAStore (downloadable game IE DA: Origins - Awakening), can it be registered here?

You can just fill out the survey for Awakening and spend 0 dollars. Just look at the contest rules and the link to the questionnaire is in there.

The whole questionaire thing is dumb. You shouldn't be able to get tokens for a game you don't own. The only possible excuse is that you bought it used, in which case I still have no sympathy for you because you just gave Gamestop or whatever used game store 100% of that money and exactly 0% of it to Bioware/EA. People should be rewarded for being loyal customers to Bioware, instead Bioware is rewarding pirates and used game stores.

This auction has zero to do with customer loyalty or rewarding fans.

I kinda agree :/ I bought Dragon Age origins and Mass Effect 2, and I don't feel like I have a chance at all to win anything here. I'm sitting at like 3700 points, and I doubt that's going to get me a lot of stuff (or anything for that matter). They really should have made the auction into a raffle, using the points as entries. That would have made more sense.

Anyone want to click and help out? I've been returning the favor to those guys above with few points.

@CowOnDinosaur - How does doing a questionaire for points correlate into rewarding pirates/used game stores? PC games can rarely be purchased used at game stores anymore, and pirates typically won't bother going to a developer's site. I mean, I understand from the point of view if you purchased all of the games, it is kind of like a slap to the face to see someone who doesn't have any registered games getting these points.

They had to do it that way due to legal reasons.  No purchase necessary to win.  They did try to hide the link in the detailed rules and not promote that you didn't need to buy a title, so I wouldn't go that far.  All it did was make the baseline 5950 points.  After that it's luck of the draw with Challenge wins, which in light of the referral hacking nonsense probably should have been a much larger point amount than 500 points, and the referral link point generation, which is what currently is separating those who can competitively bid vs. those that can't.

No, what would make sense is if they rewarded loyal customers and fans and not pirates and spammers.  And what about content creators?  They've done more for the community than probably any of the "winners" so far yet they receive zero reward for their hours of work.

It's cool if I don't win anything.  I'm not entitled to any guarantees any more than other loyal fans/customers.  It's not cool however to create a system where the most honest of us are at the greatest disadvantage.
