Even the mundane things are going for 10k.

ya who would of thought that an auction for the fans would need to be won by having to spam people and hustle it.

Yeah, god forbid you would need to put in a minimal amount of work. I can't understand why they wouldn't just mail a top of the line gaming computer to your house beause you bought Dragon Age.

Shocking really.....

There is still plenty of time. Spam those challenges and bust for clicks. Most of you are saying that you have 6-8k points. Getting another few thousand puts you right in the running for most of this stuff.

Just do a little work.

It would be a nice gesture if Bioware released some exclusive DLC (like armor or outfits or something) for people who participated in the Bazaar but were unable to win any auctions.

At that point they should just give a free 15th anniversary armor set to everyone.

Uhm, I was under the impression that EVERYBODY _hated_ spam.  Yet, here we have a company that is actively encourging tens of thousands of people to spam everybody they know or can contact.  And all of those people that generally hate receiving spam are now just pumping away, dumping it on everywhere they can.

Oh, that's right.  I forgot that spam is most often generated by companies, of which BioWare is one.

Just what the world needed: a gazillion bits of spam, generated on the behalf of just one company.  (Brilliant, I tell you.  The guy was frickin' brilliant.)

How do you establish that someone participated if they do NOT win any of the auctions?  And from what I've seen of the biddding patterns, other than the first bids, the bidding goes to 9K+ almost immediately.  Which means that @80+% of us would never even register on any kind of radar.

I can buy the argument that having to spam for points is not the best marketing idea.

But

The rules were laid out clearly(like it or not). Complaining because you didn't get enough points to win something is just silly. What did you expect? Some people worked harder for points and now reap the benefits. People just want something for nothing, and that is not going to happen(nor should it).

Speaking of which....

Hmm.  Brilliant logic.  A company lays out the How To Win rules, basically saying, "In order to win, you need to do something that is usually perceived as being morally reprehensible, and LOTS of it!"  Something akin to littering, posting graffitti, urinating in public, dragracing, jaywalking, whatever.  It may be that there are not AT THIS TIME clear cut laws prohibiting spamming, but it _is_ pretty much universally agreed that EVERYONE hates to get a load of spam dumped on them.

But you, you're just _fine_ with the idea.  I'm guessing that that is strictly because _you_ accrued considerably more than 9000 tokens.  AND you're in the US.  AND you're _not_ in Florida or New York.  AND you have both a Facebook and TWITter account.

My objection is NOT that I'm losing out on "winning" anything.  Nearly all of what is being offered is what I consider "junk"; and what isn't something I consider "junk" would be so much in demand that the bidding would go so high I wouldn't stand a chance of winning, no matter what anyway.

What I DO object to is BioWare foisting this farce of an EPIC event that was supposed to be for the entire community, but in fact rewards a rather small percentage of the total community.  Yet, by rewarding that rather small percentage of the community, it is VERY much to BioWare's benefit, in the form of millions of dollars worth of free advertising and an incredibly lucrative huge Matketing mailing database.

When I stop to think about it, I realize that I am having the same reaction to all of this as when I'm listening to a professional politician spinning how helping out a major company is "good for all of us!".  (And knowing that that company just made a large donation to the politician's campaign fund.)

I am glad I went to bed rather than stayed up to look at the auctions. Every one of them went for over 9k.

As to those of you hoping that the people with points will be spent out by the late days of the auction, I'm going to crush that hope now:

It won't happen, there are more than enough legit 10k people out there to cover all the remaining auctions I'd bet, seriously, 412 obsessed people would not even be considered a small amount in events like this.

Then when you add the undoubtedly many times more non-legit high pointers... well you get my point (so to speak, excuse the pun).

I'll try to get to 10k points without annoying people.. we'll see. By that point I doubt I'll still get anything anyway, due to the other people having increased their lead.

I guess I'm not going to pay as strict attention to things as I did when I was all excited about things. It's not worth me wasting the time I'd spend doing other things, such as playing ME1&2 & DA. :P

I'll check the past auctions to raise an eyebrow at the prices of things occasionally.

Good luck people.

Go Marafice! Shame the bid was outposted. They are at least down closer to 9k now though. It's probably because of the time though.

The only people who will win will be people how can abuse the system the most. People who do it legit won't have a chance.

Not true. The low 9000's seem to be the norm now. And with my registrations, my 1 twitter win, and just getting clicks from the BioWare boards I'm at 8193.
