So, you think the swearing's going to help you get a response from BioWare?

Moderator,

I have to agree with Suron on this one. Since patch 1.03 these crashes and intermitten memory leakages (often dropping framerates severely) accur only moments after launching the game. Some of us gamers even lose up to half on hour of playthrough and sometimes the game crashes only 5 minutes after loading a save game. These issues are rather annoying and people tend to get angry when things vex them greatly. I believe the memory leakage and crash issue should be the primary focus in the next patch (it's obviously the most annoying and game breaking).

I would be happy if patch 1.03a just fixed the crashes and Memory leakages. The other bugs, like pickpocketing, can be fixed when the community is a happier.

Sincerely, Relinquished.

considering many of us have spent $100 the past several months on this single product that no longer works ($10 2x DLC, $50 game, $40 expansion) yet we have not heard a single peep from Bioware about this issue such as "we are working on a fix ASAP"; i would say a little swearing could be justified

Not swearing doesn't get them to respond either so take that for what you will.

well it finally got SOMETHING out of at least a moderator.

get out of my face man...Bio has been silent and most of us are sick and tired of being ignored and not getting so much as a "we're working on it" from someone AT BIOWARE THAT MATTERS

but thanks for your 2 cents...move along.

aside from the fact I didn't swear in this post....

I paid $40 for an expansion who's quality is barely above morning beer-****s (there's your swear word to make you happy)...and that's just the overall gameplay etc of it.

now let's throw in the above mentioned bugs and crashing...bugs that exist in quests that RUIN THEM if you simply follow the typical progression the damn game lays out before you.

did I mention it was $40 for something that's made the game unplayable at times and crashes every 5 mins or so if you're lucky.

but blindly defend them if you must mod.

I know Suron!! You didn't swear at all (maybe the mod thinks 'sham' is a swear word lol)

A broken game, no support, constant CTD and being stripped of all my gear has made me swear a lot more than I usually do.

Simple solution: Get a 360... That is all...

The more realistic solution or should we call it consequence is probably that CDProject gets more attention, not the 360.

Hey Suron.  I am just as frustrated.  Check this thread out.  Add onto it!

More than 30 pages and still growing.  Over 1 month.  Still crashes.

Ummm..... if you guys haven't already heard BioWare was assimilated by EA and the support for this game is exactly what you should expect. I personally have not purchased the expansion though I bought Dragon Age Origins the day it came out.

BioWare had one chance.

.... Game OVER.

Patch 1.03 standalone will crash your game. If you are plannig to play Awakening do not install standalone version of 1.03 patch. Patch 1.03 is implemented in Awakening installator, so, if you want your game to work properly you must reinstall it. Install Dragon Age and then install Awakening directly on your fresh DA installation, don't install anything else, no patches, anything. Awakening installator will apply the 1.03 patch first, then Awakening expansion will be installed and your game will work like a charm. Copy-paste your saves and voila.

btw. you are right, Bioware pretty much ****ed this up.

This is
not true. I dunno bout memory leakages, I'm not computer geek but I can
play DA:Awakening without crashes, dropping framerates and the like for
12 hours straight.

Rarely play more than 3 but that's another
story.

The bugs and constant ctd have frustrated me so much that I've been unable to complete Awakening.  It was ok for a few hours but once the crashing began it was pretty much relentless.

What I did:  Installed DA:O and eventually patched to 1.02a.  Grabbed Awakening and installed it (ie did *not* patch to 1.03a w/o Awakening).  All DLC except the Gifts.  No mods.

So are you suggesting that if I uninstall DA:O, then reinstall it and Awakening everything will be sweet??

Dude, a lot of people are frustrated already not playing the game properly, so instead of being combative to the OP why not call your devs and whoever is in charge and tell us the story about the problem that came with patch 1.03 and Awakening. That's all we are asking you, fix the game, PLEASE!

EA used to be a good company years ago, back in the days of the Commadore 64 haha

but every thing out there has gotten money hungry, so see if i rush out to buy the next EA\\Bioware game!

as for the xbox, dont want one, dont need one, dont have one, my old computer with XP Pro, ran every game i through at it, while my new comp has to be fiddled with spending extra time to get games up and running, that did not have that problem on my older system.

I promised my friend my old pc, after i got my new one, he might just get the new one, and i will keep my old one.

The mods don't work for Bioware, so taking shots at them is an ill-advised way to vent your frustration, and not at all productive. Honestly, that's all this thread seems to be - since there has been no title update (patch) since 1.03 and the expansion were released six weeks ago, why would anyone be surprised that these crashes are "still" occurring? Nothing has changed.

My Awakening disk is sitting in its box - it's never been installed because I'm waiting for the game to be "fixed" before I play it. I have to suck it up until Bioware completes a patch. Am I more patient than most? Perhaps, but we're all in the same boat and rocking it won't help any of us.

My 360 red ringed a month ago.  I might as well break out the monopoly board and play by myself at this point.
