Perhaps I'm just waaaay to stupid to find it... but is there a better way to toggle the mini-map on/off than constantly pressing 'M'?

The mini map is pretty helpful to see whether your squaddies are lost again and to see enemies flanking you, but the fact that you have to keep pressing the button is a bit annoying.

not possible. the key bind can only bring up the objective map -- the one that points you a certain direction -- not the convenient radar showing friendlies and hostiles you can get by pressing left-shift. pretty stupid, but hey, it's EA.
