This auction was a cool thing for bioware to do, but it is broken and rife with cheating.

Really, there's nothing we can do about them. With some luck (optimistically speaking) these high bids will get scaled back a bit and give others a chance to score something sweet.

As with most companies, BioWare just doesn't really care if the little people get screwed; it's not like we can do jack sh$t about it.
Not too happy about this auction and how it came down to an internet popularity contest, but i would have to disagree with you. Bioware has done a pretty damn good job of making me get the most of my games, whether it be DLC that is low priced/ free or other things. theyve also listened to fans that try to influence the next game. Most game developers lack this.
click sig plz.

I'm sure there was some kind of calculating of point values for the games, and the social and character creator points are irrelevant since everyone can get those. The challenge and auction points could use some work.
I think 1 point per click would've been better and a max of 50 clicks total. For 100 people, that could potentially be 5,000 users, and that's plenty for a 412 prize auction. Plus, if you didn't get that many, you wouldn't be at that great a disadvantage..
For the challenges, if 100 people can win then it should've only be 10 points per win. Otherwise, only a few people (or even just 1 person) should win the 500 points. Then it's either only a small boost or a special prize for an excellent answer.
In this way, the auction would be a lot closer. Also, the bid amount should've been limited to only +10 per bid period. Then it would've been more exciting. If the winning bid is made within the first minute, where's the fun?
Of course, none of this really matters. But hey, maybe they'll have a better method of doing things to celebrate 20 years.

A better community? They (BioWare) have alienated half of their community by making the Bazaar American-only, and then alienated another good chunk because the Bazaar is broken! *Facepalm*

This token system really is a joke. Bioware should stop it now and rescind all items won. Re-evaluate the token system and start over.

I also agree. The simple fix would be to make tokens non-refundable. You bid with them, you lose them rather you win or lose the auction. Force people to try and bid low to keep as many tokens as possible for the next auction. This would create bid wars and competition, which would balance it out for everyone regardless of how many tokens they have.
