Hello,

Can a staffer please comment on whether the bugs that have been in Origins for 5 months are going to be addressed? Some of these bugs are:
  • The DEX bug. Dex not being applied properly to daggers
  • Crossbows not receiving a modifier from any attribute(understand 1.03 broke this on all other platforms, but from what I can tell, never worked on PS3)
  • +healing effects being applied(haven't tested this myself, but basing it off others saying it is broken)
  • haste breaking archery(e.g. Shale's rock mastery causing archers to shoot every 4-5 seconds)
Those are the only ones I can thing of off the top of my head, but will edit if I remember any more.

While nobody is asking for a specific date as to when these issues are going to be fixed, can we please get acknowledgement that Bioware is aware and whether they are planning to fix them or not?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you,
BLunted

thing that kills me is that some of the bugs like dex bug and the crossbow bug are merely typos in the attribute modifier. PC users have fixed this on their own, but in 5 months Bioware cannot fix typos? Come on...

I don't see them really having any intention to ever fix any of the bugs.  The only update we received in 5 months has been to increase the number of trophies for Awakening in an attempt to market to those that care about the %.  They threw in a couple quick aesthetic changes to claim otherwise - like Portraits for summoned creatures were displaying improperly while in the party camp.

I can only guess/assume that since they outsourced the PS3 port (EoR), they don't know how to code for it.  They most likely only want to tap into that contract for releasing content that can be sold for a profit.  A patch to fix bugs would have to be free, so there is no interest in it.  **** attitude, but seems the most logical from the behaviour I've observed.  :/

I know, you're probably right, but one can dream...

Actually, think there is a thread in here where somebody contacted EoR and got a reply from their president stating that patches were Bioware's responsibility. I'll try to find it.

EDIT - Ok, I found the thread in the 360 support forum. Dunno why I was skimming there as I do not have a 360, but I was wrong. EoR does work on the patches, but based on the decisions from Bioware. So if EoR is not working on fixes, it is because Bioware has not deemed the PS3 worthy.
