So you saw the haiku I assume ? Yeah at first the jacob thing I was like "why ?" now its more *rain and dramatic music* "WHHHHYYYYYYYY ???" Either they want to make Jacob noticed, or *foil hat* they know we dislike the jacob and kasumi stuff, and made more of it to get to us.
Seriously though, why are they reinforceing it ?

@Moon well the moment he says a line to Kasumi that will end her crush... I hope.

I think Kasumi likes Jacob because Bioware doesn't want to make it like women jsut throw their panties at Shepard because of who they are and that other people can get some. Kasumi probably feels safe because Jacob's a stable guy (that and he's friggen ripped and she's probably already seen the video of him working out on the normandy or she was IN that video cloacked)

I think what bothered me most with Kasumi's poem was that I figured her to still be morning her former boyfriend. I mean sure she's getting over it, and she does have her playful side, but I can't see her seriously lusting after someone so soon after her coming to terms with her BF's death. Then again I can never figure out women anyhow so what do I know.

So, just a syllable-count. Kind of sad, really; for such a Japanese character you'd think they'd spend a couple minutes getting the essentials of haiku down. A non-seasonal, no-cutting-words haiku is like a limerick which fails to rhyme.

I had a quick read in the Jacob appreciation thread, and its surprising that quite a few Jacob fans actually support a Jacob & Kasumi relationship .


Lets hope AZ_Rush's prediction back on page 35 is right

Yeah people are always "intersquad romances plz" ... They could have atleast picked someone else instead of Jacob, I mean seriously, they picked the most dull and annoying character, who some how caught the attention of one of the best (the best imo) characters. Love the poster. But its a shame I am divided on the jacob issue, if we have to scrafice someoone like vermire again, I dont want to leave someone I like, granted there is alwys Jack, but if 2 people are required *sigh* I will leave my sniper before the suicide mission, wait for anymore info before ME3, if intersquad romances confirmed its kill, if not save jocob for sacrafice. Unless she is into necro she wont be romancing Jacob.

Imagining zombie jacob is a heavy risk...

@Killzoy yeah its stupid, you cant romance her because he died, then you can do this mission before her loyalty one, and shes already all over jacob...Its not only annoying its out of character and makes no sense. I hope BW either make her a full LI in the next game or thjey just go back to her greiving, and stopwith all the jacob crap. They could have atleast picked an interesting character.

In their defense: Jacob's the most realistic non-Shepard option, making a DLC character an LI would undoubtedly ****** a lot of people off, and Keiji may well have died some time ago; Hock seems to have been working on the Graybox for a while. She's overwhelmed again reviewing the memories, but it's entirely possible she's basically through the grieving process by the time you recruit her.

Yeah, a classical haiku revolves around a seasonal theme. Kasumi's is more like a senryû (although it's usually not signed).

I currently study Japanese. Needless to say, Kasumi's appearance was a delight to me! I'm a bit saddened they didn't show her eyes, though. Yes, the hood can easily be seen as part of the whole 'Shadow Strike' persona. They showed Emily Wong just fine, so it's not like Bioware avoided having a true Asian (looking) crew member. Still, I wouldn't have minded seeing her whole face every now and then (especially when you talk to her on the Normandy).

I don't think technically it was labeled as Haiku just as "poetry" I guess it's done in a similar style and people make the link because she is Japanese. I suppose you can decide yourself what is best fitting.
