Don't think a relationship would work out between them anyway. Not with Kasumi's preferred career and Jacob being the boyscout that he is.BobZilla 2k10 wrote...
Everyone knows that I really don't like Kasumi's obsession with Jacob and the thing that factors in most is that like it or not Jacob stills has strong feelings for Miranda and he would choose Miranda over Kasumi everytime if he had to choose in fact Kasumi wouldn't even get a second glance from him but that is my opinion at least. But I am holding out hope that Kasumi will be made a LI in ME3 so my Shep will help her forget Jacob.

Do you think Kasumi would have / suit a tattoo ?
I could imagine her with a small tattoo of a Japanese symbol or saying / proverb, located somewhere like the back of her shoulder.
Tattos are very taboo in Japanese culture as they were traditionally used to brand and shame criminals in Japan. Even in the modern era where people are no longer tattooed as punishment, it is still associated with criminals, particularly the yakuza. People who have tattoos have even been refused service at restaurants, refused entry at hot springs, or turned down for loans at banks. There is a heavy negative stigma attached to getting tattooed in Japan.
So at first would be inclined to say that it is more likely that Kasumi doesn't have tattooes. But she is also a thief, so she also isn't the average Japanese woman. But if she did have a tattoo at all I would bet on it not being a Japanese character or symbol. Getting inked with a Japanese character is a very Western thing to do. (and often, the Kanji is incorrect) It is far more common among college kids in North America or Europe than it is among Japanese.

As I was reading your first paragraph there I was all ready to respond "but she expresses interest in Jacob's form! How much mourning can she be in? Plus, how long ago was the guy killed? I can't remember but...TIME TO MOVE ON.
As indicated before, I chose to have her keep the grey box ONLY because I hoped to access the secret info that got the guy killed. I'll be pissed if all it does is feed her unhealthy obsession with a dead guy.
Then there's this: I took her on my latest run on Zaeed's loyalty mission. There she was leaning on the deck rail looking at the area around (waterfall in the background). "Holy SHEEEEIT what a bod! What an ass!" was the immediate thought. Followed by "I WANT IT".
Yeah, she expresses Interest in Jacob, but only in DLC added several months later. And honestly it raised my eyebrows, since everything she allegedly liked and treaured about Keiji seems so absent in Jacob. Smarts, romantic urges, a certain depravity of character... Jacob is just "physical" and utterly straight (in a moral sense)...
As for her appeal... yeah, Samara could take lessons from her about the sexiness of not revealing too much

Heh. That WAS off-kilter (Samara). There she is, an "old" Asari beyond sexual pursuits yet wearing garb that is clearly sexually enticing by design anyway. That plunging neckline half-exposing her ripe cantaloupes is at odds with "nope, sex or romance is out of the picture." OK, so dress accordingly. You sure LOOK like you are trolling for a good lay.

Anyway my point is that Kasumi's loyalty mission while obviously being one of the best is also one of the most important (it seems) with the whole graybox and the implications against the Alliance. They set it up like something big might be going down in ME3 with that. Compared with Zaeed's mission it is a lot more important to the story.
Her loyalty mission has the one of the biggest impacts on ME3 besides Tali(fate of the Quarians), Legion(fate of the Geth) and Mordin's(fate of the Krogan).

MY EARS. They're not worthy of such a magnificent combat theme. I mean, this is probably one my my favorite combat themes for a squadmember, with Tali and Garrus along side hers.

Unfortunately, due to Kasumi being DLC, the secrets of the greybox probably won't have a big impact in ME3, because of 2 things:Tiercel24 wrote...
Obviously we need a new topic of discussion. One thought crossed my mind is that I'm surprised that Kasumi ended up being DLC. I've heard that Kasumi and Zaeed were originally supposed to be standard characters although I don't know if its true or not. Maybe they just couldn't get her done in time for launch.

1. She is DLC: not everyone will have her.
2. You have the choice of destroying it.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see her / the greybox's story have some big ramifications in ME3, but I don't quite see how Bioware could implement it.
But, you never know Bioware could pull a rabbit out of their hat (i.e. surprise us).
Btw, Is it just me, or do you think the Alliance might not have anything to do with the greybox's secrets.
When Keiji says "if the council got wind of this, the Alliance could be implicated" (something along the lines of that), to me that doesn't necessarily mean that the Alliance is involved. It could mean that because it has something to do with humanity, the council immediately think that the Alliance is to blame / involved. And quite possibly, a bit of investigation and a Paragon or Renegade choice could solve the problem.

BW should have develop her character better than this. In few situations the game designers have forgot the fact that she is the "best thief in the galaxy" as mention in the game itself. Because of that reason some of her behaviors/ actions in the game are not suitable for a brilliant thief.
I agree with adding more to Kasumi's character. Why couldn't we have a dialouge wheel?
About her personality, I found Kasumi's to be enjoyable. To me, she's seemed confident and aware of her limitations as a theif, and she wasn't overconfident or arrogant. She was this charming, playful, easy-going Japanese "klepto" who just happened to be REALLY good at what she did and could kick some tail when she needed to.

Her personality is OK for me, but in some situations her actions don't give the idea of a "brilliant theif", instead those actions give the very opposite of it. That is bad.
