Okay, let's see if I can keep this spoiler free. The short version is, I liked it.

I played it on Hardcore, took about 90 minutes. The bit where you're running around in formal wear is puzzle solving, and there's plenty of background dialogue going on, plus a pretty cool environment. The rest is a series of combat setpieces. The environments are really cool and there's a totally awesome moment close to the end, but the combat sequences are a bit on the simple side in terms of how the terrain is laid out and where the enemies come from. I won't say more about strategies as that's kinda spoiler-y. There's also a decision you have to make that may affect ME3.

I found Kasumi's voice to kinda clash with her appearance at first too, but I think that's just because the character really isn't what you'd expect, which is nice. She's not the stereotypical Rogue.

Dialogue scenes are pretty exensive, there's lots of loot everywhere and stuff to play with in Kasumi's room on the Normandy. I found the new gun more useful than the other two SMGs - it's super-accurate. The tradeoff being the small clip.

All in all, there's lots of content here, the plot works, the new gun's good, the character's good, I had fun for 90 minutes, and I'm sure glad I bought this. The only thing I don't understand is why the main bad guy talks funny.

I'm sure this thread will be drowning in the usual complaining by tomorrow morning, but I'll just point and laugh. This thing rocks, and I'll play it with all my other Sheps too. Money well spent.

Overall...

Pleasantly surprised.
I expected less of Kasumi...I though she would just end up being another Zaeed. But I was wrong. I just love her voice...her personality, Its a shame she had no diologue wheel...If she had, she could of been one of the  deepest and intresting charecters on the Normandy. As for the mission...well, I loved the concept of it but...I feel most of it felt too forced and rushed. I loved the beggining of the mission. But as soon as it got to the running and gunning...I lost interest.
However I  loved the ending...so emotional.
Overall I would say it was not worth the seven pounds, It honestly should of been cheaper. But overall it added a great new charecter to the story and a okay-ish lengnthed mission. Shorter compared to thers mind you. But still, a worthy DLC.  Image IPB

Also...did anyone find the bad guys voice...a little weird? It seemed like every few minutes he changed accent...Image IPB

Donovan talks like that because he's Seeth Eefrican.

I thought my fem!Shep was going to have to access the quarters in a completely different way than she did... She was, after all, already dressed like a tart. That would have been a hilarious option.

On Veteran with an Adept, 56 minutes.

Not a failure, but Kasumi doesn't feel up to the hype everyone made it out (been saying this for a while). The SMG feels less useful compared to my character's Collector Rifle, and I prefer the Tempest just for the shield stripping.

Paid for it with the left over MS points that I had. She however does have a remotely cute voice, a nice design for a female character, and I like the hint of crazy in her voice and personality. The recruitment was interesting, and the mission layout wasn't bad.

Doesn't sound Asian to me. Imo Bioware should have gone with a VA who could speak native Japanese so Kasumi could pronounce her name in the native accent. It would kind of add a more authentic feel to Kasumi's character.

Can somebody who has completed the DLC let me know if the total GamerScore (XBOX 360) for Mass Effect 2 is updating, and increasing by the 15 points, after you download the Kasumi DLC?  Or is the achievement still not being added?

I played it on insanity with my Sentinel it took about 70 minutes. I liked it a lot. It wasn't quite worth 7 dollars but it's still a very fun DLC. I also like the new casual clothing :).

She doesn't look Asian either. Honestly, the fact that she and... uh, that other character I'm not going to spoil... that they have Japanese names really doesn't make a lot of sense and seems to only have been done to please the Japanophile demographic.

The Kasumi DLC was actually really good. Beat it, got the achievement. It was better then a lot of the other missions.

It was a nice little dlc. However, way overpriced. The content was extremely short. I'm not looking for length for length's sake (i.e. more shooting or walking through longer corridors). I am looking for more story, twists and turns, and something more in depth in dealing with this type of content. For $7, you don't get much.

So she's Japanese? I haven't played/bought the dlc yet so I have no idea.

Her voice was extremely irritating to my ears. I was not anticipating that voice coming out of that face.

Kasumi's voice used to grate me, too, back when our only glimpse was in trailers. But now, having spent some time with her in-game, not only has the voice grown on me, I find it cute and charming. ...Should I be saying such things about a thief??? :P

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Kasumi for the first time and helping her with her personal mission. The new weapon is great, too! I only wish we could have full-on conversations with her like with the other characters. :( I like her very much.  She seems to be made entirely of charm. :P

Too bad it's all over so soon. :( It was short and sweet, only it was too short. I'd really, really like to see more conversations and moments with her. :)

Shouldn't the stress be on the first syllable? I don't pretend to know much of anything about the language, but AFAIK it tends to lean towards stress on the first syllable, which is why a lot of Westerners mispronounce longer Japanese names like "Kojima".

I haven't finished downloading Kasumi yet

but should I start a new game and play with her from the begining?

or is it okay to just start off at a part of the game where I can pick her up, do her mission and then head to omega 4 relay

just looking for opinion. Does she have dialogue with the characters?

Played it through on insanity, didn't time it but I think it sat around an hour. Maybe a bit more cause I took the time to explore and get a listen into the background dialogue going on. My verdict on it would be money well spent. I was a bit fearful after the Hammerhead but the Kasumi DLC was very enjoyable. Hopefully future downloads will improve on it again.

Well, is she Japanese? Otherwise the Japanese pronounciation might be hard to know. I mean names from different languages are spread all over the world and are pronounced and spelled differently in different languages.
