I've read that you are supposed to be able to get a weapon while boarding the collector ship, but after several playthroughs I have not had this option come up. I've looked all over, is there something I'm missing?

did you go up to the terminal with the dead collector next to it and have the talk with edi about the protheans becoming the collectors after that it will show u walking over to a weapons pile on the other side of the room next to the change weapons crate it then shows you a screen where you can choose a new weapon or new weapon skill if not then have you allready played through and then started a new game with the same character you beat ME2 with because you wont get any new weapons

I did that whole scene and then looked around to try to see if I had to examine something afterwards to trigger the event.

I have been using a ME2 import, but I didn't get the option the first time around with the character either.

Nevermind. I went through a second play with a new character and got the option. I must have just gotten a little happy with the skip dialogue button and picked one of the weapons by mistake.

Keep in mind that if you re-import an ME2 character into ME2, you do not get the choice a second time.

So you cant go through the game the second time with your me2 character you have to star over.

As far as I know if you import a character from mass effect 2 then you've already chosen one and you can't choose another, I've heard there are other means to get them but I haven't found them myself.

It gives you the option to play me2 again with your imported player from me1 or keep playing on to complete side mission's:wizard:

i know that i was wondering about the weapon he was talking about, if you cant import yoour me2 char or me2 char
