I've downloaded the dlc from bioware several time and everytime I try to install it I get the following error message

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

Any help getting this to work would be greatly appreciate. Hate paying for something that doesn't work

Mine downloaded to 99% and now it's frozen or something. I hate to have to start all over again if it's not going to work. My boyfriend is ranting because his made him buy the clothes pack instead.

I'm ranting right now along with him then. This is stupid. Paid for this, got it downloaded, and now can't install it. Waste of money if they don't get a fix for this then I'll really be ranting.

Well, maybe because it's not an Mass Effect 1 DLC. Try it with Mass Effect 2.

P.S.: Works fine with my copy.

Where did you find Kasumi DLC? I tried to download it, but I couldn't find the correct page. Can you please provide me the URL/steps that I need to follow inorder to download Kasumi. I was under the impression that I need to add points and so everytime I try buying some points, my browser reports an error... weird. The tech support has not been very helpful here.

I tried to purchase the DLC from that page (clicked on Buy and selected PC). All I get is this weird "bioware checkout" page that mentions "Internal Error. The server encountered an error and could not complete the request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this erro message and the query that caused it". I contacted the tech support and they don't have a clue here. They suggested that I clear my browser's cache and try to sort out the punk buster problem. None of them helped me.

Is it that I alone is facing this issue or is there anyone else facing this issue? I have IE8 & google chrome browsers. I have access to cerburus network and I have successfully downloaded all the free DLCs. I am getting this issue whenever I try to buy/download a paid DLC. Is there a way around. Gosh... this is too frustrating...

Finally got it to work after several hours of frustration. Apparently unlike the other DLC's Kasumi cannot be install from a external hard drive and can only be installed from the main windows drive. So for anyone having the same problem as I have there is your solution. At least it worked for me at any rate.

I had the same problem. Installer may be at any drive, But you need a lot of place at C drive. Kasumi DLC uses folder from %TEMP% environment variable. Insufficient disk space causes fault. You need about 1,55 Gb on C drive, or at drive where is folder from %TEMP%.

Also you can change environment variable %TEMP% at "My Computer"'s Properties -> Advanced -> Button "Environment Varialbles" to palce temporary folder at drive with free space.
From comand prompt:
set TEMP=path_to_new_temp_folder

It would be much better and simpler if Kasumi DLC extracted temporary files at the same folder where located like other DLC.

It really works! Thank you very much, freeman777! It's so careless of me to leave just 50 Mb of free space on the system drive... By the way, cleaning the temporary folder (%TEMP% as freeman777 had specified) is the best way to free some space on the system drive.

Not sure how you guys managed to download it. I bought Kasumi, the store says that I should download from in-game, but there's nothing in-game to actually get the thing to begin with. In other words, I can't even download it, let alone install it.

I've never been able to get stuff to download in game. I always have to do it from the dashboard.

Further, all of you do realize that there is an ME-2 forum, so you are all off-topic in here?

I don't knows if it help be i get the dlc from this forum:
Profile (menu on the left) / Your registered game promotions.
Of cause, i have to buy it first before the file is enable from this page.

Or may be i was just lucky since i had no problem instaling it.

Thanks Freeman777, that was the issue I was running into. I went ahead and changed the Environment Variables (Config Variables) to have Temp/Tmp in my HHD instead of SSD, which I should have done awhile back regardless so it only handles OS/Virtual Memory.

Good call, now I can play my DLC! :)
[Sorry for the thread necro, but I had to give my thanks!]

Freeman's enviroment variable trick helped for me for the same reasons as OmniFrag. Hopefully this will help me play SW:TOR again, too...lol
