I think Sten needs to be an option... If this game was real life and if I was a hot chick as one of my character is I would offer myself to Sten to see him smile once in a while, visibly... I would also offer myself up to Oghren to help him ease his, ugh, loss... I want my dog to have another dog to enjoy... Don't you guys feel the same way when you talk to Sten? A night in tent would curse his lack of positive emotions? Cheer him up?

Also Morrigan should charge me to use her tent whenever I am romancing people...

Another gripe I have is that these "loving" relationships form too quickly.  You go to camp, give them a lot of gifts, pick the correct dialogue choices and BAM!  You're having sex and in a "loving" relationship. 

That's how it works in real life too.

I'm sorry but ignorance isn't a good excuse. Especially considering he begs you *not* to place him on the blasted seat thing... and you go ahead and do it. You're pretty much reaping your just rewards.

Though yeah the dumping really should have been done in private.

That happened to me. And he even looked at my warden with stalker eyes! It was brilliant. I cried.

Funny how the "shallow" love interest ends up so devoted!  And doesn't end until later in the game.

Pretty sure most people their first playthrough had to look at the thread dedicated to the topic of managing to get him to not do that after you do that by making yourself that also, and that otherwise nearly everyone encountered that scene where he does that and you feel sad because despite knowing what was happening you didn't want to believe it. So it's not like certain people are dumber than others. I think most people got at least a little hoodwinked by that, and making characters after your first one who are geared specifically so you can be that while he's that and live happily ever after is a little sad to me.

All-inclusive response:



Alistair is focused on DUTY, DUTY, DUTY. That's It. Duty to the Wardens. Duty to Ferelden. The ONLY happily ever after is if you play as a HNF, and even then it's not "happily ever after", cause 2 Gray Wardens are basically sterile.



At least with Zevran or Leliana your Warden has a Chance at happiness. Zevran is devoted fully to the Warden, since the Warden gives Zevran what he desperately needs-a chance to be free and make his own choices. Leliana, I've never completed her romance, so I've no clue how that ends, but I'm sure it's happiness, at least for a time.
