I remember there being a thread about this subject where the fangirls pounded him for a way and he gave them "the holy elexir of Saradesh" as a possible cure. If you want to imagine it, it's ok but the lore says no.

Link to that spoiler-rich thread

I'm aware of the 'threads' on this topic and very well aware of the fact that the possibility of 2 Grey Wardens having a child are near impossible. I am simply saying it would make for an outstanding continuation of storyline if there was some 'way' for them to conceive a child (blood magic, Avernus' research, etc.) and what consequences there might be as a result, if any.

Well now, it's not as if the dead Warden runs around as a zombie or anything, MadCat.

And let us keep in mind that "not normal means" can also mean another royal bastard. The HNF actually dooms the Therin bloodline by making a grab for the king. Unless she has something going on the side, and therefore can produce a child. I doubt they have DNA tests for determining parentage in Thedas.

See, all solved. Two "not normal" ways to produce an heir: either Alistair or the HNF consort produce a child with another woman/man.

Wow, that's mature?

Overly-peppy, unrealistically optimistic people have a tendency to push some of my buttons. You have managed to push MANY of those buttons.

They have therapy for that, you know.

Sorry, I like being a b*tch. You don't like it, stop responding to me:devil:

Define
"spine."  He just capitulates to something else!

Seriously, I
get the Alistair romance.  But you know, depending on how you play it,
you will NOT be getting all the information before falling in love with
him.  He does hide stuff, and he does hide what it will mean.  He's in
love, but it's pretty selfish actually. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/cool.png[/smilie]

Love
is ultimately selfish however. And all the romances have their issues
tbh. Leliana's and Alistair's annoyances as well as Morri's I can stand
(problem with morri's is that I want to kick Morrigan in the face so. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie] )

True.
But the fact that he's not willing to drag his wife and your PC names
through the mud to me is a good thing. His dumping you isn't something horrible (or at least It wouldn't have been if he had done it in bloody private. <_< ). Tis realistic however. Life isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

...adultry is a normal way to produce a child.

Not normal would probably be god baby from the ritual so truth be told there really isn't a royal heir problem. Just by getting the Queen ending you have one running around. All you need to do is skewer the witch and take the babe. Just need to find her first.

And if there's anything Thedas should have taught you is that secrets don't remain secrets for very long.

His reactions in the thread were a negative note that said it to be very unlikely, he didn't say that it might happen, he made up something ludicrous instead. Not many things change that much. As I said, hope if you want, but the chances are about as slim as getting a dragon-companion in a sequel.

Signing out anyways, have fun with your bickering.

Oh yeah the "I hate Morri and Zev" had less to do with spite and more to do with just giving info. Didn't know you guys got so defensive over a fictional character. Jeez. O_o

Someone disliking Zevran/Alistair/Morrigan/any fictional character isn't a personal insult on you. They're fictional characters people are allowed to say whatever about them. Doesn't stop you from laughing at the person who said it but they are allowed to say whatever they want. Free speech all around. You can say you find Zev to be loyal and just and I can find him a slimy sleeze that should be shot in the kneecaps along with an immoral pervert. Both our views are valid. You can find Ali childish and naive and a fool and I can find him mature, intelligent and just. Once again both our views are valid.

Good grief I thought only the Talimancers did that kind of thing. :?

Though you can romance *all* of the characters without having sex with them. So yeah...I hope that answers your question OP.

Sex in this game is entirely optional even when it comes to the romances. Though it is a way to boost your approval if you want the relationship to move faster its not needed at all.

I like how the thread started as a rant against the prevalence of sex in the DA:O romances, and now people are hating on each other for the Landsmeet outcomes. Forums are so fun :P Also, I lol'd very hard at all the Sten and creeper Alistair references. Also, this post makes no contribution to the discussion in any way whatsoever. The game :(

Originally that was also one I was referring to, but Sabriana had to get all technical on me with the warden not being a literal walking corpse, so I citited a few others as examples. Lots of death defying going on in a land where it's supposed to be incredibly rare.
