What about human + dwarf? Or dwarf +elf?

Those end up with half babies (human/dwarf or dwarf/elf) but are extremely uncommon.

Also, do you remember Slim Couldry? He's an elf-blooded human who grew up in the Alienage. Just to give an example...

Ah, now that's YOUR fanfic waiting to happen.  There's no indication in the game that that's how it turns out

Edit: Really, in the game, while Alistair isn't overjoyed at the whole thing, everyone seems to be reconciled to it.

No indication that you even have a babe either. "Nearly impossible" isn't great odds you realize.

Nope, there sure isn't.  But I don't believe I said that there would be, either!  Just that if there was, it would be human, and that all three went into the situation with their eyes wide open.  You're the one who said that Daddy Eamon would plunge the country into civil war over it -- against the Teyrn of Highever and perhaps the Teyrna of Gwaren.

I find that scenario very unlikely, btw.

Probably is as unlikely as you actually having the babe. So we're even. :innocent:

Also: Any queen that asks to become the Teyrna of Gwaren is power hungry and frankly should never have been given the throne in the first place. Alistair isn't too bright is he...

His family was probably there. I would imagine that *weee spoilers! (when is this going to get moved to the spoiler section, anyway?* Soris and his human wife might stay in the Alienage as well (in the CE ending).

Huh? My warden is happily warden commander with Ali by her side. She hates babies and hates stuffy courtroom nonsense. She's quite happy and doesn't have to worry about seeing her lover on the side. She's proud and able to be herself. She enjoys combat and can spend the rest of her life doing such and training others to protect the lands of Thedas after she's dead.

I say she has a perfectly good life. :D No responsibilites other than those she choose to have, can leave her responsibilities to others if she feels like taking time off, no worrying about what noble X thinks of her or pleasing the Fereldan nobility. No worrying about elven riots and peace treaties. She and Anora left on good business terms.

Plus she has something Queen Warden will never have. Complete and absolute freedom to do whatever she chooses with no restrictions. No worrying about keeping stuffy nobles content so war doesn't break out, no need to watch what she says (she's a bit brash) no need to make sure she is saying the right thing or tip-toeing around issues or being polite to someone when they don't deserve it.

No need to worry about being seen as weak if she's nice to certain groups no need to worry about other countries.

Freedom...that is what makes her happy.

Makes sense. Still I probably would have left family or no. Then again I'm a bit of a bastard.

My characters could care less about the elves. :innocent:

Seriously elves suck in DA. All they do is complain, complain, complain. I felt sorry for Shianna for all of 2 seconds before she called my PC "Shem". I really wanted a snooty "and who are you to talk to me elf !." response.

Heck even my mage elves could care less about other elves.

Hey, my characters could care less too! A whole lot less! But I don't think you meant that. Yeh, you're right. Shianni is SUCH the whiner!

You're very funny!

Edit: To make up for my grammar flame, I'd like to point out that, yes, not making Alistair king is a valid ending.  And I'm glad you enjoy it!  My characters always end up with the full devotion of their love interest as well -- and they don't have to change him, take away his birthright, or anything!  Just love him.  It's as close to a fairytale ending as you get in the game.

Of course, if you don't harden Alistair, he is content to give it all up.

Elves was meant in general. Shianna was only picked because of the whole "and why are you here Shem?" when she barely knows my PC. Why should I feel sorry for her? I don't even know her and the first thing out of her mouth is a sneer. Not my PCs fault whatever went wrong in her life. (and yes I've played the CE origin. Still don't care).

And complaining is really the elves in general. Particular the dalish. Eh. The Dalish. *shakes head* Its...depressing how hostile they act and how weak they really are. I'd feel sorry for them if they didn't have such an air of superiorty to them.

But regardless my PC is happy the elves rioted and got what they deserved. Anora is a good ruler even if she's a bit of an B****.

Who's asking you to feel sorry for anyone?  You are excellent at building up strawmen.  I just am pointing out that the elves under Anora's rule were treated horribly, and after you made her queen, that continued.

That's why it's an ending I can't pick.  If my HNF doesn't become queen, Anora and Alistair marry.  They seem pretty happy too!

Edit: sami jo, is that the one I need to be making a group for?

Have you played the CE origin? She complains a whole lot less than she probably should.

Hm...I strawmanned? Bah. My bad. I won't do that again.
The elves rioted and had to be put down. I feel sorry for them but they brought the fate on themselves.

Of course! There's plenty of happy endings for everyone!

I love the WC ending though because my PC is content. She has everything she could ever want within her grasp and she's free. (Then again to this particular PC freedom was everything).

I did play the CE origin. What Vaughn did to her had nothing to do with my PC. I understand her attitude just wished I could say something nasty in return.

Oh, now you're being silly. They rioted because of a food shortage while Anora built a university for the humans. The riot doesn't happen if Alistair is king!

I love the ending with Zevran because my warden is content as well! Funny, though, between Alistair and Zevran, which one ends up proposing!

Hehehe, and if you need a hint to know which one, no, you didn't miss anything in the Alistair game!

And the riot got put down. Frankly why it doesn't happen when Ali is king is probably due to his good nature. He probably gave in to them and gave them food while Anora didn't accept the nonsense. Frankly I value a ruler with an iron fist. Though yes Alistair is the better ruler when hardened. Doesn't make Anora a horrible one.

Zevran proposes? I thought you had to ask him was it a proposal?  I romanced Zevran at least 3 times with MPCs. I never got a proposal! He offered the earring and I asked did this mean we were married and he said if you'd like but he never actual got on one knee! Silly me! I probably need to lrn2play!

You say this as though marriage is the key to love! Who says I love you? Ali or Zevran?

...are we having a pissing contest?

VO notes, btw, say his voice is, "hopeful."  And actually, yeh, I don't think MARRIAGE is there, but he asks for a promise of the future and gives a token of affection if you do and then, yeh, if you tell him that a proposal is too much, well, not pretty.  He only wants one thing from the warden

Hah, yes, and Alistair DOES say "I love you," but THAT doesn't stop him from dumping a warden!  You can't seriously doubt that either Alistair or Zevran love the warden, can you?

Edit: with Zevran, actions speak FAR louder than words.

True and Ali does act (other than the landsmeet hiccup) as though he's willing to stay by your side and be there for you. He's a true companion. Why do people value marriage so much? Trust and being willing to stay by someone's side through thick and thin and let your opinions be known is far more important than going: "I want to marry you." especially when those words are just...words.

As is Zevran. One isn't better than the other other than in people's heads. They both have their good and bad points.

Ah you're making assumptions. Never said Zevran's romance or Ali's wasn't true just that I see where Ali's coming from. I may not like Zevran but he did have a nice romance. Ali acts as though he loves the warden as well. Love sometimes is simply not enough. That's life. You can love someone to death and it still may not stop your lives from drifting apart.

What? I must be inable to see that a romance is true if I don't like the character? Seems to me that's how you see it. :?
