I can guarantee you ME having the babe is impossible! My warden, more likely than yours for sure!
Huh? My warden is happily warden commander with Ali by her side. She hates babies and hates stuffy courtroom nonsense. She's quite happy and doesn't have to worry about seeing her lover on the side. She's proud and able to be herself. She enjoys combat and can spend the rest of her life doing such and training others to protect the lands of Thedas after she's dead.
I say she has a perfectly good life.

No responsibilites other than those she choose to have, can leave her responsibilities to others if she feels like taking time off, no worrying about what noble X thinks of her or pleasing the Fereldan nobility. No worrying about elven riots and peace treaties. She and Anora left on good business terms.
Plus she has something Queen Warden will never have. Complete and absolute freedom to do whatever she chooses with no restrictions. No worrying about keeping stuffy nobles content so war doesn't break out, no need to watch what she says (she's a bit brash) no need to make sure she is saying the right thing or tip-toeing around issues or being polite to someone when they don't deserve it.
No need to worry about being seen as weak if she's nice to certain groups no need to worry about other countries.
Freedom...that is what makes her happy.

Probably is as
unlikely as you actually having the babe. So we're even. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie]
But
more likely than a Warden/Alistair baby! So we can all keep dreaming. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie]
True.

His
family was probably there. I would imagine that *weee spoilers!
(when is this going to get moved to the spoiler section, anyway?*
Soris and his human wife might stay in the Alienage as well (in the CE
ending).
Makes sense. Still I probably would have left family or no. Then again I'm a bit of a bastard.
