I have a cerberus network account. I have downloaded all the free DLCs so far. I however am not able to purchase any paid DLCs.
I got this webpage: http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc and I click on any "Buy Now" button. I then click on PC and I immediately get this message:
"Internal Error. The server encountered an error and could not complete the request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this erro message and the query that caused it".
I initially thought that it was either a browser issue or a punk buster issue, but it has nothing to do with either. I am unable to purchase any points so that I can access paid DLCs.
Note: I can access the cereberus network through my ME2 game. I don't have any issues with linking to my cerebrus account. This has something to do with the browser.
Is there any way I can buy kasumi DLC from anywhere else?

I am having this exact same problem. Went to the EA "live help chat", rep said that they are aware of the problem and do not know what is known about it. And directed me to the forums. In all honesty, I felt he just wanted to move on.
If, you found a solution or if anyone who has encountered this same problem and had it resolved please leave some input.

I haven't tried downloading the content from Cerberus in ME2 yet..thats next, but there was no place to buy it, even when you click "purchase now" button you get sent to a screen asking you to sign on with your profile. Weird. I was kind of hoping it was some late-breaking (now refined) free content that didn't make it into the game by the set release date..but I'm guessing thats wishful thinking. If someone has the link for free DLC or purchase ...post-up, I'd like to pick it up.
Thx.

I believe the problem you might be having is that you haven't added any points to your account yet, for I believe that link only works if you have purchased points for your account. Try buying your points first by clicking on the Profile button on the left hand menu and then "Add Bioware Points".

Sanuunes,
Just gave this method a try and received the internal error message again. I am able to download the free content from Cerberous without any snags, but this "must purchase content" I am receiving the error.
I am wondering since its EA and me having steam if this is the conflict, but I have tried with steam on and off and still received the error message. I am at a lost with this and feel that I will be playing this content thru the eyes of others via forums and youtube.

Interestingly when clicked on the "add points" button I received the same internal error message. Nothing like a bit of extra content dangling in front of you to get you excited.... any clues anyone?

EXPRESSO here (under my other Forum/Game name) Sanunes - You were correct. You must purchase bioware points first. Now go back to the EA Site, Downloadable Content, click on the buy button for the Kasumi DLC, it neatly subtracts the points spent on the DLC,Then load your game, login to Cerberus, click on New Content (left side panel), there will be a complete list of DLC available to you, including now Kasumi, download the install file for each from the Cerberus side panel. Once the downloads of these .exe files are completeI cut/paste them to Mass Effect 2 Folder and launch the .exe files (extract the DLC files and updating your game with the new DLC. (note you have to get out of the game to do this...laughably, you only opened the game to get to Cerberus (why this couldn't all be done through the website is apparently a ME2 stylistic way to get content..as if your downloading new info while on the Normandy I guess, but it IS and extra step and doesn't really DO that, since you then have to get OUT of game to update your game files with the DLC. Some DLC appears to be free, while some (like Kasumi) needs to be purchased with 560 bioware points ($7 if you can buy exactly 560 points).
Hope the install goes clean, and no problems logging in or playing the DLC...quite an effort all-in-all.

Hi guys I am in the Bioware site and trying to buy the bioware points. I am taken to the Dragon Origins portal but have the same "Internal Error". As such I can't even buy the points at this point. I have cleared the cache ... :S

JCDADTON: Did you try purchasing PC DLC or XBOX DLC? Clicking on the XBOX button in the webpage that you mentioned works but the PC (buy biopoints for PC) doesn't work. It shows the internal error.
What a bummer? So many folks here are trying to purchase the DLC and I guess EA is simply not interested in selling us the DLC? What kind of marketing strategy is this... damn... I am pissed off...

I'm having this exact same problem. It's funny they wouldn't make fixing this a priority because by ignoring this they're keeping us from giving them money.
Yeah, Exact same issue, PII, i tried sanunes' suggestion, had the same result except now i was on the dragon age site.
Oh well. I guess these guys aren't gonna get to take my money

From where can I buy the BB points... I tried to buy bioware points and all of a sudden I get this "Internal error" message from the Dragon age web page! Every link that points to "buy"... whether its a DLC or Bioware points, redirects me to this weird ERROR page. I tried all the possible permutations and combinations.
In short: I can neither buy bioware points not kasumi DLC...

QnD solution: find the downloads, ahem, elsewhere, and purchase it later, once BioWare/EA fixed the buggy store.

I have been trying to figure out what is going on, for I like a good logic problem, but this isn't very logical.
I purchased ME2 via Steam and didn't have a problem with purchasing Kasumi. One thing I noticed today is that the ME2 boards don't work well with Win7 using IE8. Since I reformatted to Win7 I am unable to stay logged into the boards, even with a quick post to a thread like this I can't stay logged on. So you might want to try another browser and see if that works for you.

I'm having the same problem. I tried the link in "Profile > Add Bioware Points" and the "Official DLC" link selecting Kasumi and PC Bioware points. The first one redirected me to a Bioware Checkout page with the Dragon Age Origins logo and the second one the a Bioware Checkout page with the Mass Effect 2 logo. Both showed the following error message: "Internal Error. The server encountered an error and could not complete your request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it."
I tried the EA support chat a couple of months ago and the representative told me that he couldn't do anything but he reported the error to the tech people and I should receive an e-mail when they find a solution. I'm still waiting...
None of the solutions in the help forums worked for me either: http://social.biowar...59/index/110561
