Is it just me or are other people having problems with game textures?

What i mean by this is my computer is more than specced enough to run this game and well run any game for the next couple of years (i am running it on high graphics, x8 anti alias and high textures).

Regardless of what settings i run the game on i seem to have black spots inside buildings and even on characters.

In my first cut scences as a Human Noble the castle guards had a line comming out of their helmits to the floor, this problem disappeared when i altered my settings but later returns when i spoke to Alister, he had numerous black spikes comming out of his shield which spread to the length of the shield which obviously should be there. I also get this problem inside buildings, i have tried the game on the lowest graphical settings and the highest settings yet still receive this problem.

Any ideas on how to resolve the issue?

What video card and driver revision are you running?

Im having the same issue with my character lol look at my avatar shes wearing the Blood dragon armor and the whole chest is Black. it even shows up that way on my avatar

I think there are other posts about this that may have fixes...

First thing is to try to update your drivers..

What cards do you guys have?

I am using the ATI Radeon HD 4870 x2

I have the latest drivers, everything on my computer is up to date as far as i am aware.

Just want to point out that this is most likely another problem than the topic starter has. It's not a graphical glitch, but just an oversight, a missing texture for female player characters wearing this specific armor.

It still is rather stupid. I wonder how they beta-tested this game. <_<

Gillder, you're not having the same issue. It's been acknowledged that Blood Dragon Armor for Female elves has a missing texture. They'll be coming out with a fix.

Are you having other texture issues or just that one?

Not sure why telling me the version number remains a secret but let's try this another way. Run dxdiag, click SAVE ALL INFORMATION and post it up here or link it.

I havent had this problem since i installed the patch however i now cant use the shortcuts lol, only way for me to get onto the game is to launch from CD.



Any ideas?

i have problem with texture , when game going to cut scene but i can't printscreen for exsample.

the texture cloth some character isn't correct in cut scene , i love this game and bioware but it 's annoy me. i want to play the game with happiness , however i hope you plan to release dao 2. i will brought it ( i have graphic card nvdia gfore 8800 gts and i was update driver for few day. it doesn't work

I've been having this problem as well. During character creation, the character's faces or eyes are all black. I tried starting the game and all the character's faces are black now, except my own. Everyone's armor is stripped of details, only the brown image layer is visible.

I downloaded my game from Steam, if that makes any difference.
