I think the "problem" with the walking animation is just that it's meant to fit Femshep's character and attire in the rest of the game, so it looks odd when she has this feminine dress and the heels on. But imagine if she always walked as if she was wearing heels. She needs to come across as tough - moreso than Maleshep if anything.

The problem isn't that she is moving "tough", but that she has identical animations to MShep that don't fit her body structure, making her move stiffly. I'm the last one to ask her more "feminine" animations, but I would want her to be animated smoothly. She was near-perfect in ME1. I can't imagine why they didn't just recycle those animations.

Poor Bioware. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Speaking as a MaleShep, I for one think it's great that femshep characters have something unique for them to play with. Even if people knit pick about the dress's length or how she walks it's the thought that counts here.

Players have been complaining that femshep doesn't get enough attention and this is proof that Bioware is listening. They could have just as easily made femsheps wear the same thing as malesheps.

Yup, I agree, I was so happy to see my femshep in a dress, They could have easily just thrown a black suit on her

I don't know how someone could complain about femshep's outfit. I love it. I ran around Hock's mansion in it for about 10 extra minutes just for fun.

I'm pretty sure the animations are the same as ME1 for both male and female characters. As to having more "feminine" animations, if you're suggesting they use animations similar to the female characters in KotOR, then HELL NO.

Either way, there are going to be problems. In ME1, femshep walked fine but male shepard moved in a rather feminine way. Now it's just been flipped.

They should have used Samara's walking action in her recruitment cut scene for femshep. Would have been perfect. If maybe a little long to walk around.

I was happy with the formal getup, can't say BEST part, but the game certainly needed some new Shepard around the ship clothes.

FemShep moves far more smoothly in ME1. Her running animation is made for the female model specifically. And yes, I agree, KotOR overdid its female animations ridiculously. That's not what I'm asking, at all. Just for the different bodyshape to be taken into consideration while animating the character.

The formal wear is also cool for the TIM holo-conversations. If he has a suit, so can I!

Have to disagree with you about the running or jogging animation in ME1. I dislike how her arms were bunched in and pushed forward when jogging. The ME2 animation, though a copy of male Shep's, looks more natural and suitable to the armor she wears. Movement in a dress on the other hand is not so nice...
I really do like the necklace and would love to buy something similar to wear:

It wasn't the best part of the DLC, but it was certainly a very, very nice surprise. I really didn't expect the formal outfit to be added to the Normandy wardrobe. But then I got back on the ship after Kasumi's loyalty mission and suddenly my femshep stood there, in that beautiful dress. Like I said, a very nice surprise. Finally something classy to wear if I'm not in the mood for the standard Cerberus uniforms or that weird, totally out of place brown outfit.

Anyone else have a feeling that "necklace" thing is really their to cover up the strange neck seam problem body models can have in games? You can see it on female Shepard when she's in the shower during Garrus' paramour cutscene.

I never thought I'd use the words "combat" and "little black dress" in the same sentence.

Until now....

In ME2 they both walk like soldiers to me.

Am I the only one that dislikes the formal attire?
I think I am mostly just irked that getting to dress up all pretty is what Christina Norman said would 'make FemShep fans very happy'.

I doubt you're the only one.  My FemShep would probably shoot whoever tried to make her wear some ridiculous non-utilitarian dress.  It just doesn't look right on someone who head-butts krogan.

We have no choice, then?  And this is what's supposed to make FemShep players happy?  Why not make this an option, rather than a requirement?  Why not allow FemSheps to wear a suit?  Or a military dress uniform?

The DLC was nicely done, and yes, the formal wear looks great on a male Shepard. That said, putting FemShep in a dress like that was a horrible idea. Sure it looks great while she stands still, but once she starts walking...no, just no. FemShep's discomfort was painfully obvious. Bad BioWare. I do love the SMG though. :)

Naaw. I think she was dying to wear something different.

Nailed it... people complain... because they can.. not because they have valid points.

Nailed... what exactly? There are only like two people complaining about the dress itself, making that entire comment completely invalid.

The problem is the walk/run animation for FShep in Formal Wear, which sort-of proves the opposite of what that comment was claiming: FShep is apparently not getting enough attention.

The best part of the DLC is Kasumi herself. Also, FemSheps have no elbows, so the dress is a little creepy.

I really like her dress, some feminity at last, it just didn't suit her when she ran. Though, what I was more thinking of why the other party-goers didn't react when she 's running like she was about to blow **** up, when she's suppose to fit in and not draw uneeded attention.

Good job on the dress Bioware, I want more, and fix the animation for femshep lol.
