A brief write up of them. Now with video:

Kasumi: Shadow Strike is useful, especially if one can chain Rapid SS's together. It is also nice how she returns to position after the strike. Sort of is a combination between grunt's charge and the combat drone with more survivability. Even when you send her into a group, she rarely takes much damage. When she uses her flashbang she becomes even deadlier being able to instantly CC many enemies in a large group. I suspect she'll be very popular.

The Locust: Its an SMG version of the Collector assault rifle. Someone will have to do some DPS testing to see how powerful or not it is. Seemed quite strong to me, but that may be because headshots are so easy to line up with the weapon. It has no recoil, maintains accuracy on full auto (it makes no difference bursted or not), and has a 20 round magazine with 380 in reserve.

It may have just made the assault rifle choice obsolete for every class.

Flashbang: A combination of Concussive shot with better knockdown, the effects of Overload on all types of weapons and enemies even when shields are up, and a 9 meter aoe. If a target has no shields, they are knocked down for the entire duration of the effect (lvl 4 improved it was 9 seconds). If the target has shields, its still performs a stagger effect on anyone in the 9 foot radius. Considered a tech power (I believe) so it may benefit from cooldowns and damage boosts. Has a decent knockdown but being able to position the grenade to hit units outside of LOS and to disable enemy weapons even with defenses is its strongest perk.

It also insta-kills husks reduced to health. Coupled with a 9 foot radius it is very powerful on Reaper IFF. I think the bonus fits well with any class, but I could see it replacing concussive shot on the soldier. Also makes cryo blast seem much less appealing for the Sentinel and Engineer. The 9 meter radius makes up for the 1.5 second longer cooldown. It also staggers all husks in range. Shepards Grenade plus kasumi's grenade can hold back even the worst husk rushes in reaper IFF without the need of any other squadmates.

Her backstab seems to have some pathing limitations though. It -feels- like the same kind imposed by a vanguard sheps charge. Could be wrong though.

She is however made of win. To possess that much awesome makes me think she's the daughter of Chuck Norris.

An accurate SMG. Thank god.

So I take it the flashbang is 6s recharge? What's it like at 1pt?

Flashbang is probably a little overpowered at least with Vanguard. I wouldn't suggest picking it as a bonus power, but bringing Kasumi along to flashbang every group you run into makes the game much easier. Would probably be a nice bonus power for Engineer if you want to go for pure CC.

Kasumi is my favorite squadmate, bar none. I wasn't happy that she wasn't gonna be available as a LI, and she wouldn't have a conversation wheel, but after playing the mission, I don't mind it. She has more depth than most Mass Effect characters, and she always has interesting stories or comments. Her backstab is exactly what I hoped it would be, and the Flashbang was better than I could've hoped.

Plus her alternate costume is RED AND GREY. Can NOT get more badass than that!

I will probably take the bonus power with my soldier seems to fit the class. Does the locust replace the revenant? :D probably not but ill ask anyway. im at work not yet home to DL and test.

Soldiers get the revenant. Soldiers don't use SMGs.
Everyone else gets SMGs. They can't get revenant.

Somewhat exclusive club there. Soldiers ought to be jealous.

When you say the flashbang has the effects of Overload do you mean that it also does a good amount of damage to shields?

Hahah. Nothing replaces the rev.

Its like if the vindicator could go full auto, pre-accuracy upgrade. Or if the collector AR had a quicker fire rate and did more damage. However, since I haven't tested it, I don't know exactly how powerful the locust is.

I can say for certain that on any new playthroughs with a new char, I'll probably go get kasumi and do her mission immediately.

No sorry should have clarified: It has the effect like overload of neutralizing enemy weapons. Except its not just weapons, its weapons, biotics, tech, everything, for however long the duration says, even if shields/barrier/armor is up.

Yes, sorry i should have clarified. I play a few classes simultaneously. At the moment, im into the soldier. One reason is to try the revenant. But in general im starting to actually like the soldier. Previously i thought it was dull.

So yeah, if its better than the Rev i might keep going with my second Vanguard instead and finish that first.

Wow, that sounds awesome! Are they lobbed in an arc like Inferno Grenades?

You mean an X duration CC? is the flash bang actually that much better Concussive Blast? Im trying to play my soldier without investing in a bonus power. Im using Energy Drain at one point (because you have to pick one at the start and probably leaving it at one) and it has been handy even at one point to situationally kill shields and recharge my own.

Yes. They also take a few seconds to detonate, so they bounce and roll around. If you can use them in close quarters, its nice to bounce them around corners.

I think about it like this. What is the primary purpose of Conc shot? Knockdown CC and husk instant kills. The grenade does both of these things with a bigger radius, plus it has the added bonus of Better knockdown cc and being able to Debuff (render the enemy unable to attack) enemies even when they have defenses. It fulfills the main roles of Conc shot while having advantages.

I'm curious when you say 9 feet do you mean 3 meters or 9 meters because if its 3m then full cryo blast has the same radius doesn't it?

Sorry I'm going back to change it. Not 9 feet. 9 Meters.

Something strange I'm noticing with the locust...it seems to snap freeze targets a bit more often than say...a typical SMG.(Using Cryo ammo)

I haven't gotten a chance to do Kasumi's loyalty mission yet, but Flashbang sounds like it's going to be my new favorite toy this playthrough. Same with Kasumi herself. Can't wait to try out her Shadow Strike on Collector!

Step 1: Select retrain powers. Do not spend any points.
Step 2: Select advanced training -> Dominate. This will give you 1 point in dominate, with all your other points still available.
Step 3: Repeat until you max out skills, or run out of eezo. Just remember to take your fave bonus skill intead of dominate for the last training session.
Step 4: Spend your points and smile now you have no leftovers
Step 5: Kill stuff.

I should also mention that Kasumi's passive gives her a 25% cooldown bonus on her powers, so you can flashbang even more.
