cooldown is 6 seconds, duration is 4 seconds until lvl 4 and then if you go improved (and I can think of no reason to choose anything but improved as the other one only slighly boosts damage), it increased to 6 seconds.

It works through all defences? If it does, it would probably be really OP as i would just storm in and shotgun everyone's face.. and toss out another flashbang once it expires. Also works with infiltrators with their passive time dillation scope.

Wow, I watched your vid...that is some serious CC power right there. HUGE AoE radius. Kasumi just kind of broke the game, huh?

Shadow Strike is also super broke. It does massive amounts of damage even at low levels, and on lower difficulties (Veteran or below) is basically an instant kill.

Locust just MIGHT be > Tempest for Shepard. It does less damage than the Tempest against all damage types, and cannot get off as many shots, (20 from the Locust, 50 from the Tempest), has a MUCH smaller magazine size, (360 vs. 700+) but no recoil and perfect aim? That's a PERFECT trade-off. Also, your commentary in your video was right. The Locust does MORE damage than the Collector Assault Rifle, someone did some DPS testing and it does more HP damage. I don't know about Armor or Shields.

And I've just unlocked the best part about this DLC: a new casual outfit. Now I can walk around the ship in a little black dress.

But seriously: absolutely loving the Locust's accuracy, and fairly impressed with Kasumi's backstab. The only problem with her is that I don't know how to spend her squad points. The Flashbang looks like it will work great for my Soldier run.

Me neither.  Overload is nice, as usual (consider shields are THE most common form of defense) but as she only gets 30 points?

My suggestion?

Shadow Strike (4) - Rapid Strike
Master Thief (4) - Master Infiltrator (25% cooldown time bonus on her powers?  HELL YEAH)
Overload (2)
Flash Grenade (3)

Im going to run this for kasumi with my soldier.

Flash Grenade (4)

both shepard and her will max flashbang.. see how much cheapness i can stand before rerolling.

I'm also going to ignore Overload. 2 really strong chars already have it, miranda and garrus, and flashbang and shadow strike are so good that I'd rather she use that.

Here's something to consider.

Overload gets a 2x bonus vs shields. So heavy overload can do 400 damage (un upgraded) to shields every 12 seconds.

Rapid Shadow Strike, not even the heavy version, can do 450 damage to Anything every 9 seconds. Shadowstrike > Overload vs shields, so you can just put the points into flashbang.

If you really want a Merc team, like me, grab Zaeed with squad disruptor and go on a killing/grenade spree.

Hahaha, good idea. Oh, take the Flash Grenade evolution that improves the radius.

Actually, the reason for Rapid Shadow is that IF Kasumi KOs the target, when she returns, the cooldown period ends instantly letting her do it AGAIN.  (Hence the name "Rapid" Shadow Strike)  Ideally, a good way to remove shields would be through the use of Disruptor Ammo, and since I'm an Infiltrator, that's not an issue (Though I'm thinking of going for Squad Cryo)

So... the flashbang is for players who can't finish insanity otherwise? I like a challenge, so I doubt I'll be using it as a bonus power.

I was mainly just pointing out that points in overload are probably better spent on improving grenade, since her SS already does plenty of damage. Like I said in the vid, you want to use rapid like you said, so you can chain them together, but even if you weren't chaining, against a single target it does more damage than overload.

I would say it does actually take a bit of skill when shep uses it because you have to make sure you angle it right. And it's really fun to run around spamming grenades.

Also, I wouldn't go so far as to say Cryo Blast is obsolete. Understandable, since Cryo doesn't work while the enemy is under protection and the Flash Grenade does, but still, the effect of freezing targets (especially like charging Krogan) is effective. The Grenade is a MUCH better tool for wiping out swarms of Husks, no argument there, but I still say the freezing effect might be enough to keep Cryo Blast on par with Flash Grenade.

Errr so I bought this too. The mission was kinda ok, but short, defnitely not even close to an hour. Locust is simply ridiculous with no recoil, at least it is nice for distant targets I cannot charge. Flashbang grenade is pretty OP, kinda like Warp explosions, so I will not be using that except when I just wanna to just have some fun with it and no challenge.

Decent DLC overall.

Kasumi broke the game on insanity; especially with a Shepard/Kasumi grenade spam team. Overall it was a very good DLC, but horribly unbalanced nonetheless.

Ran her loyalty mission and put her on my squad for a couple of the others loyalty missions. Damn ... with my soldier Shepard she is just beast. When she's not dominating enemies through her flanking, she's drawing fire away from me so I can lay into them.

I really dig this character. She's fun. In the 2 or 3 hours I've played with her, she rose to only be beat out by Tali as a favorite. I was expecting a broodier character and was pleasantly surprised. Some of her personality reminds me of the devil-may-care attitude of Catwoman from Batman.

The formalwear and SMG are just icing on this cake. Feels like 560 points well spent to me.

I guess the Locust and the Flashbang will add a new level to the CQC Infiltrator playstyle. I´m about to start one with minimal sniper rifle use. Should be fun.

@Gatsby: Really enjoy your videos, so keep up the good work lad. Greetings from Europe.

Soldiers get the revenant. Soldiers don't use SMGs.
Everyone else gets SMGs. They can't get revenant.

Somewhat exclusive club there. Soldiers ought to be jealous.

I'm playing with soldier and I have this new SMG. Modifying game files can work wonders :P

If I find it's too powerful, it will only be fun for a while. If it's well balanced, it'll have lasting appeal

Since this is about Kasumi in general, anyone else notice the Ogre statue in the basement? Blatant self-plugging there.

Kasumi is definitely made of serious levels of win. There's also the fact that she's apparently worth any two other squadies, since you can do her loyalty mission with just her. AND she picked out a really nice dress for Shepard, and actually convinced her to wear it.
