Ummm. u mean when she was waiting by the ship? after shep and jacob fought thru whole complex without her? yea i dunno. ain't buyin the whole "miranda got em out" thing. sorry.

and as for Garrus not taking care of himself. he had all the toughest gangs in galaxy trying to kill him for weeks holed up by himself and they couldnt stop him. can't take care of himself? how u think this stuff up?

Miranda woke Shephard up, talked him to the point where he met Jacob, fought her way out of her own area, killed the traitor and got them to safety

Toughest gangs in the Galaxy? - Once Shephard arrived they were dispatched quick smart. Without him, Garrus would be dead now

Invalid assesment - Shepard is the Deus Ex Machina of the Mass Effect Universe. ~_^

Accolades are hard to compare... everyone in the squad was selected for their prowess in one form or another (be it in their back stories, or the fact that they helped you in ME1)

Aside from tagging along in ME1, I would say that Tali is less impressive based on back story. Even Jacob saved the Citadel.

But so did Tali, she saved it along with Shepard.  Plus, its Jacob, no one cares about him, they should have made him into a Mr T ripoff, would've had more personality that way.

Garrus or Jacob.

Done.

Everyone else fail because either I don't see them as take charge, or I don't entirely trust them.

Miranda for me. She was designed to lead and was the director of the Lazarus project. That's good enough for me.

Jacob as main LT of Miranda might be able to lead troops as well, but I've never used him before for tasks like that.

Garrus is my bro and manho'.  B)

Shep's right hand man. I think he's experienced and they've been around each other long enough to form a mutual trust. Also she slept with him.

You make no sense. Tali was under your command. If i chose to take with me a dog and a branch to the final mission in ME1, that doesn't make them XO material.
I might not like Jacob but you're taking it too far. Jacob is capable to lead and I would trust him. I would trust Tali just to get the repairs done and nothing more.
You're forgetting that she nearly got her entire team killed, twice. She's too emotional and under pressure she would crack.

I agree, she did help (well not in my game, I didn't care to use her in ME1... or me2).  On that note, asside from being with you in ME1, Ash, Kaiden, and Tali have limited accolades to make them look impressive.  (but, who knows what kaiden/Ash are up to with the alliance...).  That being said... they were all with you through ME1, so we agree on that.

My number two would have to be Garrus. Tough as nails, cool as a cucumber has experience in both military and law enforcement. not to mention he has the coolest nickname in all of citadel space.

Garrus and Jacob are the only characters in the game that would fit the requirements necessary for the role. The only qualification Miranda brings to the table is as a project manager. Personally, I wouldn't trust her to manage a taco stand on the Zakera Ward.

I agree that she's not really command material, but she hardly got her own team killed. On Freedom's Progress Frazza (?) went off on his damn own because he didn't trust Cerberus. Tali actually kept her cool through the whole thing.

On her recruitment mission, her team was severely outnumbered by the Geth. Hardly her fault they started taking casualties.

In fact it seems like she typically holds up well under pressure. The only time she cracks so to speak is when she stumbles upon her dead father, which is hardly a mark against Tali.

Leading a team is another thing, but an entire ship is too much responsibility for her, she wouldn't even know where to start.
Actually, her presence was needed due to her skills and knowledge to whatever they were doing. She was just escorted and protected. That doesn't make her capable to look after a ship.
If I had an option between her and Kal, I would chose Kal. He might say he just points and shoots but militarily, he is far more experienced than her.

Totally, Garrus is my wingman on every mission ME1 and ME2, a brilliant character, fantastically written and voiced!

Anyone taking oders from Kaiden would fall asleep before he had finished his delivery - due to him being the most boring character ever - If his team can't stay conscious long enough to hear their orders I feel you have to questions his leadership skills

I wasn't really speaking on that point, I was just saying that you make her seem more panicky under fire than she is.

Finally a voice of reason!B)

Anyway, Miranda is my second in command.
Thats about to change the exact second Ash rejoins my squad however.

Yeah their really is something about Kaiden and not in a good or humerous way.

Granted I could never kill Ash because I think as a character she is top notch. At the same time however I would find it incredibly difficult to allow Kaiden to live (under any circumstances). Everytime he speaks I feel like ripping my own arm off just so I have something to throw at him.
