After long deliberation I redid my city elf from a rogue to a sword n' board.  I'm simply looking for stat tips to build a damage soaker

- I want the best sword

- the best sheild

- the best armor


Just a total killing machine

So I'm pumping stren/dex as much as I can.  I just hit Ostagar and I have some chainmail.....and I'm only upgrading combat movement or w/e its called


Am I missing anything else?

It sorta depends on how much DLC you have / are willing to use. The equipment there is really busted. Blood dragon armor is cheap and easy to unlock so that should probably be a priority. It should be unlocked after tower if you do that first. If you go templar something like gloves of dilligence, that templar armor with 40% resist, helm of honoleth and some boots with nice bonuses is probably better than most sets. Dragonplate armor is pretty nice. For sheild it probably depends on if you want def based (can be boosted by gylph of warding and heroic defense if you got a mage(wynne?)) sheild of the champion is probably good(can be stolen from vartarg gavorn in orzamar i belive). With enough dex dagger will eventually be better than swords and there rose thorn is probably best(though there might be something better from some DLC).
