Well I can see the war starting on here already .
If the thread even makes it far enough that is lol.

I'm here to see who all of you think is the worst ME charachter between both games. Doesn't matter if its a squad mate, enemy, or the consort. Just wanted to get everyones opinion.

Remember this is just opinions, if someone picks your fav charachter please don't try to start a thread war over it, BW isn't going to scrap them from the game because a few ppl didn't like them .

On the flip side of that if your one of those disturbed fans who hates a charachter so much u have wet dreams of killing him/her/it(alot of the LI's seem to attract this crowd), dont even bother posting on here because honestly your probably need to lay off the video games for a few months anyway.

My least fav ME charachter is definetly Liara.

I have tons of respect for what she goes through for Shep, but she was just always so pointless to me.
In ME 1 it seemed like she was only there to help further the plot and get a headache, than come part 2 she has inexplicably changed into a Mafia Don/"information broker" with an even more lifeless attitude than she had in pt 1

I realize she is a pretty popular charachter and probably not a smart one to bash when your opening your thread but as stated above this is just MY OPINION.  So yea if your a fan of her keep the pistol in its hoster =)

Least favourite squad member ? Miranda.

She's intelligent, ambitious, self-confident and likes to be the leader. She would definitely be an asset to Shepard's team... if she weren't so zealously worshipping TIM. Even though she tells TIM that she resigns I still don't trust her. Moslty because of the traits I listed, I see her as a woman with a backup plan B in case everything goes to hell. And also plans C,D and E, just to be sure. My opinion is that her resignation was little more than an attempt to trick Shepard into trusting her.

And I hated when, after recruiting Jack, she says: " I'm Miranda, Shepard's second-in-command". I was really hoping for a renegade interrupt: "WTF ****, Garrus is my second-in-command, get your ass back to da kitchin' ".

Least favourite character ? Turian councilor.
Needs no explanation.

Anyways, worst ME character in my opinion is Jacob... He just lacks personality and pizazz. Plus he always comes off as being incredibly whiny. However Kaidan has him beat on being the whiniest XD

Jack and Miranda are the only characters in the series that I don't personally like (although I haven't gotten around to recruiting Kasumi yet, so she might potentially be added to them). That said, I admit that they're fairly decent characters--Jack has fair character depth and development, and Miranda has at least a little of those things, as well. As far as who's a bad character, there really isn't one, but I suppose I'd say Kaiden and Jacob would be the closest. While they both have enough depth that I'd call them decent, they don't actually get much development as a character beyond what they have from the start. Not that I don't LIKE them, I do, but there you go.



So in the end:

I don't like Miranda the most, but I think that the worst character--and there really isn't a BAD character in the lot so far--is Kaiden.

Jack. I do appreciate that they tried to give the character some depth that can or can not be discovered depending on how you interact with her, but so much of the writing, especially her constant cursing, seems incredibly forced. Everytime she does her "I'm a murderous b*tch... then I'm a little girl again" monologue in her loyalty quest I want to facepalm so hard my hand comes out the back of my head. Ugh. And the Suicide Girl look... bleh. Oh look at me, I got tattoos. Yeah, congratulations, in ME time, that stopped being shocking and original like 200 years ago. Now pull your pants up and wear that belt where it belongs so they don't slip down again, Baldy McBalloonlips.

I'm with the OP about Liara. Her role in ME2 made no sense at all.



But my own least favourite would have to be Jacob. There's just nothing to him, he's a non-entity. He's just so dull and uninteresting. Jack would be a close second.

Favorite is Liara she still the best character in Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Honestly I never saw much use in Liara either.

Something about her voice acting pisses me off too, kind of like Ashley, she's too intense. Though she has a more interesting background and personality than Ashley in my opinion.

thnx for the resposes so far guys, here's my opinion on a couple of names I heard so far.

Jack- Yea she was definetly over the top angry teen, so much so I honestly forget most of the time that she really did go through something absolutley horrible.  For this reason I find myself less inclined to say I dislike her, girl has gone through some Sh!T!.  That being said everyone in ME has had something screwed up happen in their life, I mean Shep freakin died!  So yea her whining is enough for me to not put her amongest my favs.

Jacob- This poor man. I mean seriously does anyone like this dude? I personally talked to him like three times cause he honestly isn't interesting.  His charachter seems like it was just there to give you a friendly Cerberus mate cause Miranda is such a b!tch at first. What makes me not dislike him is the fact his loyalty mission was really cool(imo), especially the renegade playthrough.

Kaiden- A white Jacob without a cool loyalty mission, though his sacrifice on Virmire was much appreciated. Honestly I just never listed him because he seems to have this decent sized following so I figured mabye I just neglected to get too know him.  Anyway yea I could probably list him along side Liara

Miranda- Smart,Sexy,Strong,Conniving,Sneaky.....I can't dislike a charachter who brings all this to the table.  That being said I trust her about as far as I can throw Grunt .

Ashley- Ash is actually my fav LI in the game so I might be a little biased on this one.  She just has a lot of depth with realistic flaws to boot, I found her much easier to empathize with than alot of the charachters in the game.  I actually liked the fact she doesn't just blidley trust aliens, would u trust a Krogan more than a human?  If you really get into the convo's with her and find the reason for her distrust you see its not unwarrented. That being said I understand she comes off kind of like a racist b!tch, but even if I felt she was I always prefer a charachter who makes me dislike them( Jack) than one that gives me no feelings at all(Kaiden/Jacob). Again though she's one of my fav charachters so I can't really say i'm unbiased
