Fact - Genetic disorder, or however you want to phrase it. It is something that extensive genetic modification will have most likely removed. So your going to have very few homosexuals.
Possibility - Just because mankind is banging hot blue aliens doesn't mean the Systems Alliance does a "gay pride" parade every year.

It appears you support eugenics, the genetic modification of humanity to remove 'undesirable' traits, is that fair to say? You should know before you answer that this topic is closely related to **** Germany and topics like ethnic cleansing. Undesirable traits are quite subjective, let us not forget. Not every variation from the standard template is a disease or a disorder, merely a variation.

And by virtue of your first fact, you argue that inclusion of homosexual content in ME2 DLC or ME3 shouldn't have an impact on sales. In that case, why not let those who want it, have it? Why is it so important for you that your Shepard not even have the possibility of establishing a homosexual romantic connection? Are you concerned that your Shepard will make choices against your will?

Gay can be considered a genetic disorder based on the fact that what they do is not compatible by nature. What gay men do to satisfy each other is not what the human body was designed for. Doesn't make it wrong or evil...just not what those parts of the body were designed for.

Gay is counter-productive when it comes to reproduction, and therefore could be considered a disorder.

What's subjective, is whether or not the gay "disorder" is harmful enough to warrant action, or if it's simply one of the those side-effects of evolution being random.

I personally don't think it's the sort of disorder that requires action. Not unless like...50% of the population goes gay, which is very, very unlikely.

Bottom line, it's a genetic disorder, but not necessarily a problematic one.

I think everyone's getting a little over the top with what's homophobic and what's liberal. Just cool off...it's just a flippin video game.

So true. This should be a game for adults, which requires them to take the gay romances seriously, and not just inserting lipstick lesbian fare. This, I have to admit, is a very tall order. But I would respect them more as a company if they did it.

I wouldn't care if BW didn't want the content in the game. But as you can see from my "NWWALS" group I don't like censorship. And sadly that's exactly where it looks like BW is heading.

I do not believe these people will ever suffer for their ignorance and hateful attitudes, at least not in the context of Bioware games. The trend seems to be toward pandering to these very individuals. They will get what they want, and those of us who want to see the material elevated to a higher standard will be the only ones who suffer. It is the way of things when 13-year-old white males dictate the marketplace. And yes, I know this is ostensibly an M for Mature game.

I'm sorry but Yaoi is a industry that makes money. May not be "billions" (I'm fairly certain its high in the millions tile however)

See...here's where the anti-gay stuff for games comes into play.

A LOT of the "demand" comes from girls wanting to see guy/guy, or guys wanting to see girl/girl, rather than actual homosexuals.

I, personally, am all about choice for everyone, provided it's done well. However, as a straight white male, I obviously won't be too put out if they choose not to include gays in Mass Effect.

Girls have guys to be with, and vice versa...if it's actually the gay community itself requesting it, that's fine, but satisfying an attraction to seeing gays of your given opposite gender get it on seems....well. Not worth the resources.

For one thing, you misjudged me in the the first sentence. I myself am not one those people that throw two guys together just for smex, or just because they are hot. However, most of the Yaoi fandom are prepubescent girls who don't understand the meaning of a loving relationship, and just want to see two men make out. <_<  I myself am about choices.

Because the **** swastika is a banned symbol, to my knowledge. The hammer and sickle is not, though it also carries a social stigma. I mentioned both in the actual reporting.

Also, the ****s utilized hate speech, and by association, you are pretty much doing the same. There is a report option for hate speech. So....

Also, being that I had a relative in that part of the world, at that time, and being of jewish descent...yeah.

Why does it matter so much who wants this content?  People want it and this would make it worth the resources.  Some straight gamers prefer to play the opposite gender for various reasons and they would also like to romance someone they are attracted to...enter the desire for s/s romances. 

These straight people might also play the straight romances as well as the homosexual ones.  Variety leads to replayability which leads to further enjoyment of the game.

Just throwing gays in doesn't make it higher stander. It just increases the demographic. Not necessarily a bad thing, but gays farts smell just as bad as the rest of ours. Let's not start assuming any particular demographic makes something better just by association.

Oi how did you read my mind. I hate, hate, hate mindless Slash PWP (though nothing is wrong with it on occassion ) for the most part however no I just want choices. [And I feel better romancing a male with any gendered character I have...romancing a female makes me feel a little odd.]  

Hell I wouldn't have an issue with it not even being in the game I just want a valid non BS excuse.

It's more an ethical thing I suppose. If it makes money, they'll do it. I just think it's silly to pander to yaoi/yuri fanboys/girls. The gay community is fine, and if it's them that want it, then absolutely it should be included.

Exactly. Gay content won't tank a game's sales. Thus, there's no reason it couldn't be included in ME3, or ME1 or 2 DLC.
