I've been through this keep a dozen times, manually clicking on things and also spamming out the tab key look for usable item glow, all with no luck.  Every post on the forums I've managed to find is asking about other chapters.  =)  The best I've found is that chapter 1 is a statue item.

Can someone give me a more specific location for where to be looking for chapter 1 of the keep history please?  I'm starting to think this character is bugged and just won't be able to finish the quest.

It's outside of the keep itself.

After you enter the courtyard. up the stair. BEFORE you open the door to enter the keep, turn left and keep going, you'll see the statue.
