When this happened the first time, I dismissed it as a one time abnormality.
When it happened again, exactly as before, then I got suspicious.
I downloaded the Firewalker Pack installer for Mass Effect 2.
When I attempted to run it, I got some kind of error message claiming the archive was incomplete.
I had to download the file again from the beginning.
Now it happened to the Kasumi Installer.
I'm currently downloading it for the second time and hoping it is complete this time.
I used completely different computers on each occasion, so an exact repetition of the flaw is suspicious.
This is extremely inconvenient, because of lost time downloading (10-11 hours) and the fact that each sizeable download is taken away from the monthly quota allocated to me by my internet service provider.
Why doesn't the downloader verify the package in some way when it is complete?
<engage sarcasm mode>
Or is this another delightful windows 7 problem?
Recurring and annoying Error!

Okay, I take it back.
It's not bioware, it's Windows7.
Through a lot of "persuading", I managed to get the package to run.
There's some wierd thing going on where Windows7 reports the package as damaged or not authorized, something to do with analyzing the package.
Sorry I can't nail it down more then that.
And thanks for the link stardazzled.
