Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's possible at this time. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can import the models into 3d SM and work with them, but theres no way of exporting them back to DA:O (yet). Theres several people working on a plug-in though. So should only be a matter of time.

I always use the nude mods for Elder Scrolls and such, it just adds realism. It is especially important in this game because of the really awkward looking sex scenes where Morrigan puts ON a bra to have sex, which she does not wear otherwise.



That said, these "paint over the bra" mods look terrible (no offense to anyone working on them). I will wait for a complete remodel before using any nude mods, which works out well actually as my first character is a female and the sex scene for her never showed below her shoulders for some reason (and they were bare). So I just need the mod before my male character gets that far... lol.

 Can you tell me what file to open in the toolset for extracting char models? Are they in .obj form? If I had the .obj files I could then open them Maya and grab the UV map to aid in reworking the dds textures.

Its actually not really a "paint over the bra". The bra is implemented in the human dds texture where there should have been a bosom. And the model itself has been redrawn with the bra's thickness, straps and so on, that is why it looks like there is still a bra even though the bra's texture is completely gone. example (nsfw, nudity)

Which is why I havent released mine yet. The textures are all ready, but I still need to redraw the models breasts.

tazpn's Command Line Tools allows you to extract and convert models and textures to various formats. Models especially can be extracted to the 3ds format.
But as of yet we still need a way to convert them back to the MMH format DAO uses.

There's a couple of outstanding "topless" and "semi-topless" Morrigan mods on Dragon Age Nexus. Sadly, they only apply to Morri's default outfit ("Morrigan's Robes"); however, she's got a perfectly natural pair underneath those laces and they are a delight to look at.



I personally wouldn't bother with any existing nude mod until community 3d artists (gods bless yer souls) can extract and edit the meshes properly. Anything else with those transparent/flesh colored bras looks a touch creepy.

I don't understand everthing you write - my english is not very good (sorry : ). Just: Is there a nude Mod or a easy possibility to take the underwear away - at the moment - or do we have to wait for it?


I would LOVE to have "no underwear" ingame. In northern Europe we are not very uptight about naked body.

Easy enough for a someone who has 3dsmax, or maya.  Oh, and of course knows how to model such things.

You're aware Pokemon isn't just a bad anime, and that it's a popular video game series as well, right?

Even then, I wasn't aware liking a video game led to maturity.  I'm a fully grown adult and I still play games like Pokemon and Mario.

I'm not condoning what he said to begin with, telling people to grow up--I'm just saying, if you're going to insult him, do better.

I'm not going to tell people to grow up, but I do find it kind of sad that straight after the game release so much effort is going into getting some virtual beaver on screen. I think the Bioware guys who must be itching to see what the players can do with their engine and toolset probably feel the same?



Anyway back to some modding.

@nix3r, well implementing breasts (nice ones) in the lovemaking scene is quite a challenge and if the pull that off there is nothing stopping them from making new content and movies. So although making a nude mode in it self is a small step it is definately a way to see what players can do with the toolset en engine .

Yes I do know that.  But first, it was a card game before it was an anime and video game franchise, if i remember correctly.

I was one of the first to buy the GBA Colour that came with the yellow pokemon game cartridge.  Obviously I wasn't one of the first... I had school after all.  But I did get it, heh.

The only thing I can't stand about it, is the fact that everyime the west gets their hands on anime, they have to include outstanding morals into every conversation.  There wasn't an end to plot point in pokemon that didn't end in.. "and I couldn't have done it with out (yadda yadda), you're my best friend."  Or... something along the lines of "Wow, what a great lesson, I'm so happy I learned how to be a nice person so I can capture and confine these little imaginary cartoon creatures."  I'm sure over in Japan, when ever Mindy or Missy or Misty... or whatever her name was
got mad, she woudln't say "oh drat", and whenever she bent over to pick something up i'm sure there were some monumentous nose bleeds.  Not to mention, wasn't the rocket team gay or something?  Wasn't one of them changed... in america, go figure, to a girl so that there would be no imposeing homosexuality, or lesbianism in it?

Quite honestly, as a fan of fantasy, I would have loved to see nudity in this game. But, when I was playing my male character, and was showin the buldge in his undies... I was rather glad they where there.

Look at some of the great works from Frank Frazetta, best known for Conan, at least for me, and Heavy Metal. Least not we forget honarable mentions such as Moebius (Jean Giraud), who helped create Heavy Metal (don't know the french name for it), and The Incal.... if I remember that being the series. The one that was heavily censored in america from the nudity. BUT, that being said, Tarot is fine to go along showing full nudity in their comics, with woman who have larger then needed breastises.

Honestly, nudity has been around, well, forever. When you go to have a shower, you get nakid. IMHO, I thought BioWare was going to add nudity to the game, but I think that would have goten it an 18A rating, rather then a 17+, limiting the sales they would make. They did say something about it in an interview, along the lines of if they considered it, but they wanted to be able to approach the scenes as tastefully sexy as they did with Mass Effect. It's not a quote, but there is an interview on gamespot about it. At least I think that is where I saw it.

Nudity or not, this game is still great.

As far as male vs. female nudity, I think most people can agree that from a pure ascetics point of view, the female form beats the male form hands down. Women's bodies are smooth, sculpted pieces of art all the way around, but once you remove the undies from the male form, it gets less glamorous. Or at least, that's the result of a conversation between my wife, myself, and some of our friends...though alcohol was involved at some point in the evening :-)



On a side note to ngen, best of luck with the mod work, and thanks for putting so much effort into something others will enjoy for free. You're the Hero of the Day ™ ;-)

before anyone slags of pokemon, it was probably one of the most well structured CCG's aswell as easilly one of the best gameboy games of all time, regardless of the content...well it used to anyway, no idea whats happened too it now.

And on the subject of a nude mod, quite honestly the game needs one. Morrigans underwear ruin the immersion. Where does that horrible stonking bra come from? it doesnt make any sense.
