LOL REALISM?  Realism would be homely, if not ugly, characters with rotting teeth, flabby breasts, and either anorexic looking or tubby.  Maybe I should make a "Realistic" model for you?

All the running around and constant physical exercise that's combat renders one's body well toned, and they're not exactly of age which makes gravity effect obvious.Just see how flabby, anorectic or tubby the active soldiers or sportsmen are...

I'm not going to tell people to grow up, but I do find it kind of sad that straight after the game release so much effort is going into getting some virtual beaver on screen. I think the Bioware guys who must be itching to see what the players can do with their engine and toolset probably feel the same?

Anyway back to some modding.

Think about it this way...The gaming industry drives new technology.  Your comment here would be like saying it's sad that after the hardware engineers release a new product so much effort is going into some game.  Somemay not like it, but the baser desires of humans, such as entertainment and sexual gratification, cause porn and gaming to drive much of the advancement in new tech.

Well at least the dev's won't feel so bad about being squeamish in the nudity department (not that they really would), cause we moderrific folks are gunna fix that part for em one way or tha other.



Kinda silly that they would have a sex scene (albeit a side-view) in Mass Effect with no clothes on, but didn't think to give it a better crack in DA. You only see what the "camera" let's you see.



I understand they were being adventurous with the expression and all but if it's got an "M" rating, why not go balls to the wall and do something nobody else is doing (nude sex scene, eh?). Ya already get to hack off heads and see LOTS of blood flying about in battle, what's a ****** shot gunna matter...well ****** that belong to humanoids not desire demons with a nip-chain clipped on.



Oh and one more note for giggles, I don't see a ton of people actively modding just for "the virtual beaver" there's a ton of folks doing tame mods that have nothing to do with nudity. I'm just a dabbler though...I wait for smart folks to come up with C++ scripts so I can be an "almost-modder".

 Sure go pickup a copy of Poser and oh and  on the way you may wish to learn how do character rigging, animation with proper use of skin weights and deformers, lighting, skinning, texturing and rendering. EJ42, I assume you must be either a skilled professional or else your heart doesn't really desire very much. Would you care to share some of your creations with us?

Regarding a nude mod for the game, I think the underwear is a little more realistic.  The game hasn't really implemented any form of breast physics.  At least, with the underwear on, one can somewhat rationalize them being frozen in place.

I know that there are some gifted people working on the tools that will allow us to extract and import the mesh data. Not necessarily for the sake of making nude models but for making it possible to modify the meshes in general. It will be interesting to see what the game mechanics will allow. In other words will be able to add verts or change the UV maps. In regards to the mesh used with hf_arm_nuda once there are import- export tools it won't take much modification of the mesh to flatten and smooth out those areas that are now the bra and panties.

When it comes to nudity in games i am a fervent believer in that if you are old enough to make the choice and are willing to spend the money or time to do it it is no one's bussiness but yours. What i find more distasteful is that people will come on a forums talking about adding nudity in a game and pass thier tired old judgments on someone else. Life is choice my friend and if this is a choice you pass on so be it move along and spare us your insignifigant words.

When it comes to which porn is worse computer generated or real porn i feel real life porn is worse. To judge the de huminization of another person who is either trying to feed thier habit or thier bellies and claim that it is ok is hypocritical in my opinion. See that person having those acts or displaying thier body is a living breathing individual who made those choices for reasons you may not even be able to comprehend. To lash out at computer porn and respond with a trite comment like "there are real people on the net" only show the callousness of your being. That person has family, feelings and is being objectified for money for your amusment. In the computer porn there is no body, no feelings, that is not a person, just a collection of bits and bytes, and the only person effected by it is the viewer.

So you judgmental callous individuals passing your unwanted, unsolocited, uncalled for, and irrelevant comments, you are dismissed, go away now and let the adults converse.

Now back to the original issue, there are several nude mods that are avaliable. Some are for the desire demons, some are just topless mods, one redesigned the the witches robe to be topless, expansion of the Morrigan robes to show the bust line, my point is that it really depends on what the modder did. I have some that go into the Bioware override folder, one i think was treated like DLC.  My big question is why didn't Bioware just make an adult DLC from the get go. I would be willing to purchase proffesional DLC that has no black screens, dialog options and some interactivity. I do not buy games based upon whether there is nudity or sexual situations no more so that i buy cake for the frosting, but why have plain cake?

I don't know what it says about me that I would probably install this mod, but I would. I don't know if full frontal is really necessary, but I wouldn't mind seeing the bra disappear. The bra just seems anachronistic. If anything, I'd expect to see a corset, but it's pretty clear that Morrigan doesn't wear one.

If you were in a movie that had this Morrigan character - with her wild witch ways and free, loosely draped clothing - and she gets involved romantically with your main character and then during the essential, climactic scene of them getting together, she dons a torn-up burlap sac to wrap around her chest... it wouldn't just seem out of place. It'd just be ridiculous. You wouldn't be a pervert for wanting Morrigan to instead be topless, it's just that you want her character and this story your spending your time watching to make sense.



I don't care about a full nude mod, with the ins and outs, if you know what I mean. I just want this cinematic game to do justice to what's supposed to be a kind of important scene. Americans can handle nudity in their R rated movies. There's just no real reason to why a game like Dragon Age should be relegated to Disney standards over this one aspect. When an actual nude/topless mod comes out that gets reviews as being something more than slapped-together, I'll probably DL it.

I was a little happy when I read news about BioWare considering nudity. Then the game came out. I started my character, got into the game, I took off my armor to see how things would look (no, I'm not a pervert, I was just genuinely curious), and of course she was wearing undergarments, which was TOTALLY fine. It would be stupid if they were completely nude under their armor. Even back in medieval days, the women wore rags to cover up, sort of like the rags you see them wearing in Oblivion, or at least they would cover their lower regions. I did not mind that at all. But I played the game normally until I came across a sex scene, and things got very...awkward. I said to myself, I hope this scene will be tasteful and beautiful. Then I saw they were still wearing their undergarments? Are you KIDDING me? I'm sorry, BioWare, but all of those sex scenes are completely awkward. I'd be happier if they weren't even included; I'd be happier if the screen went black for a few moments and then back to normal, with the sex taking place implied through dialogue only. All of the dialogue so far has been top-notch. Very well done, there. The only thing stopping this game from being a perfect 10 with me so far is the ridiculous sex scenes. You should have left them out! They ruined what were supposed to be beautiful moments!

Look, naked is something normal people do when they have sex. Perhaps a little S&M from time to time but otherwise it's considered natural. Nothing wrong with a little paddling either.



Do the sex scenes suck? Yes. That's a good excuse for Bioware to do better next time. Pay more attention to the animations, the facial expressions, convey the proper weight ratio of two grown men laying atop each other. It's a challenge to Bioware, make a scene sexy and not vulgar. Show the full monty yet make it art like.



Anyways, the nipples were wonderfully textured. The breast as a whole was obviously the highlight of the models. Which means they look out of place. However like I said before, practice makes perfect.
