Regardless of what platform you play on, what are you going to do to your room or where you play to get into the game?

Turn the lights off, lock the doors?
Crank up 5.1 or those of you who have the money 7.1 surrond sound?
Sit so close to the tv you get radiation burn?
tell your parents your doing homework, and sneak a few hours of DA?

Kick your siblings off of the system cause you have a major need to stomp some darkspawn ass?

Or those of you who are so insanely sick, and break out the Rumble vest?

Im so defiantly going to play with the lights off, and 5.1 cranked up. Im playing on tri-monitors, getting almost panoramic view (those of you who havent expierence at least dual-monitors need to! you wont ever go back!!!!!!!!!!)

Post here, how you are gonna get the best out of the game (its okay if you plan on dressing up as your character to when you play ;) )

My computer is in the front room where the TV/PS3 and my husband's computer are. I have no hope of hiding/getting privacy, nor locking any doors unless I lock everyone else of the house but...

hmmm...

No. No. I can't do that. :P

For me in the UK, Dragon Age is being released on a Friday.

I know what my weekend will consist of, 24/7.

With 40 hours at work and time at school my gaming will be an all night sleep in class sort of deal.

From the moment I get the game, until most probably January there will not be any other game for me.

Beer, dark lights, chips and lots of my headphones for the game so nobody bothers me.

I will be in the middle of exams. Joy. But as I am a genius (:D), I doubt I will be studying too much.

Hehe.

As for how I will play it...

Plug in speakers, download additional content, and get ready for a marathon session.

I'd be in the the "den" (basically a small office/games room I share with my younger brother). It's a go between room in the middle of the house so no chance of any privacy, plus my brother will most likely be playing it too. So defenitely no chance for any privacy.

Either way I'll be removing myself from the modern world for the weekend and taking a nice holiday in Ferelden. A nice yet bloody holiday.

Even though I preordered from D2D UK, it lists release day 3rd Nov, but I believe it will still be 6th. So for me too it will be non-stop weekend. It's been years since I did that and I am looking for it.

Lights off + 5.1 + cheap food + some beer maybe

This is my set up too, so all I can do is dim the lights and put on some ear phones on.

Going to put a sheet over the window, maybe get some head phones, and just veg till I'm done. Probably only stopping to watch TV shows that I watch with my girlfriend, and go to work. My computer is on the same table as her's so no real secluded area, but I'm used to that. I expect her to get involved with the conversations, have be fill in story gaps, constantly.

in front of my monitor, during looooong, coooold nights with a cup of hot tea, 7.1 headphones, lights off... just like the old days. i really hope it will bring me back to the days when RPGs were more... involving... if you know what i mean. :)

still, thats going to happen most likely on weekends... with university i hardly get any sleep even without Dragon Age..

Kicked back in my chair with my digital volcano going full speed as I play for a few days straight. When ME came out I had the weekend off and played it for about 15hrs straight. Hopefully the music is really good as well otherwise I'll have to disable ingame music and play some Steve Roach and Brian Eno in the background.

It's not my fault I have a weakness for great gameplay and good story, Bioware makes me a junkie.

I'll probably won't be available for any sort of human interaction or communication that day.

I guess I have to tell my girlfriend I have to study.

1: Wait for delivery guy.
2: Leave the delivery guy in a bloody pulp for taking so long.
3: Try to install the game while I am squeeing, reading the manual, and probably shaking.
4: Log-in so I can show n00bz how awesome I am with my achievements
5: Turn off lights and play for hours.
6: Only eat things like ramen or hot pockets, they don't take too long to make!
7: Continue this trend, only minus 5-6 hours a day 5days a week for volunteering.

I will be playing from November 3 - 5. No, I mean really playing from the 3-5. Probably sometime around the afternoon of the 5th I will be forced to go to sleep from exhaustion, and then my book off time will expire so the next day I'll have to go to work. >_>

LOL. I got a bigger response than i thought i would??

And wait.........Beer???

for those of us in the range of under 21 but over 18 as the requirements of this forum state, why beer? drink to much and it would slow your reflexes, and make you not able to make the best tacticall decisions in critical battles?

So brings up the Razer Death Adder mouse slogan......

"does having the fastest reflexes in the world make you an athlete?"

And for those of us in school and/or who have life whether that be work or hanging out with the ladies ;)

Hang in there, DA isnt going anywhere, in fact it is going to be here for a very, very long time!!!!! :)

My play time will be a couple hours a day probably. I have a 21 month old daughter so I can only really game during her nap. I'm not much for staying up late because my daughter wakes up at 6am.

Same here.  We have a small apartment right now while we are knocking off some debt from our past..so I have my computer in the front room..no privacy or cool sound setup.  I just turn all the lights off and put my crankin headphones on.  It works well enough.

I thought about locking people out as well..but in the end the cons to doing that beat the pros =)
