Well, let's see.

Lights off.

Door bell disabled.

Cell phone turned off.

That's about it. For an MMO I may have a cooler with bottled water and some wrapped sandwiches, but I won't be rushed for this.. Going to take it easy and enjoy it. Pretty much just disruptions that bother me.

I'll have my PS3 in the corner of the dining room, lights off, volume up on my headphones, chilling on my gaming chair with a beer and the misses in bed sleeping. Rinse and repeat every night for a month or whatever!

November 3rd is a Tuesday I don't work or have class on Tuesday. I move into my new place 4 days earlier, but I'm going to have my whole gaming area set up way before Dragon Age comes out. I think my room mate and I will probably be up as early as possible so I can run into Calgary and pick up my pre-orders (PC and Xbox) from EB Games.

Then I'll spend the better part of an hour using an vanity mirror and the sliders to make my Character look as much like me as possible, and then play the game all through the day and night. Probably fry up a bunch of pirogies and bring 'em over to the game room so I don't even have to get up, then it will just be up to my bladder and I might not move for 14+ hours.

I never preferred lights off even in movies, except playing -good- horror games or watching -good- horror movies. I suppose I will just be playing it as any other game, since I have only 2.1 and never cared a huge lot about an expensive sound system.

Not a big deal here, I live alone and don't need to worry about noises.

probably I will have some water near me, the television on, and natural light (won't care about it)

November is a busy month for me... travel in the first half, lots of work in the second half. It may be a while before I can really "go crazy" playing.

I will move the beer cooler next to my computer, play long into the early morning before realizing that I've completely screwed up my character build, consult the forums, restart the game with something resembling a plan for my character and then find out what the limits of human endurance are when I attempt to go with as little sleep as possible for as long as possible.  Laps into at least a two month Dragon Age coma only to be revieved just in time for the divorce proceeding.

This is my first Bioware gaming experience with a wife and a mortgage to worry about. So, my marathon sessions will likely be whittled down to one day per week and whenever I can sneak an hour or two. I am planning to buy a game for my wife on 360 that will engender a similar gaming obsession so that I might steal a little more time for Dragon Age.

Like one person said - first make sure the two dogs have had a long walk and two kong balls stuffed with peanut butter.  Then ...

Dim light, candles on the desk, shades down, fresh expresso brewing, quick snacks in the kitchen and then I relax in the large den with my 5.1, large screen monitor and cozy captains chair.

don't do all nighters though, 3-4 hours max in a play session, usually closer to 2.  So will be enjoying the game for awhile.

Lights off, headphones on, music down, voices up. Just the way I like it.

I probably won't be getting it until the Friday after it comes out (or, God/gods/David Gaider forbid, the Monday after), and I tend to work on weekends... plus, Friday's are my date nights. So, Assuming I get it on the Friday, I'll install it, and then quickly back away before it sucks me in. Then, after work on Saturday, I will come home, change clothes, sit down, and hope that I don't work that next morning, because I intend on playing in until 6 AM.

Then, I'll just have to wait until Mon/Tues, which I tend to have off anyways. 48 hours straight playing, after stocking up on water bottles, grape soda, and goldfish crackers.

Junkfood, minimal social interaction, lack of sleep and without pants. In these circumstances living alone is a plus.

If my new computer arrives in time, I will actually wake up early in the morning (i.e. around 12 am), get myself somethin to eat and play for 10 hours straight until its time to go out, drink beer and telling everybody how awesome this game is, even when they do not want to hear it anymore.

If my new computer does not arrive in time I will stay in bed until late afternoon in a mixture of sleeping and weeping, and use the evening to drown my sorrow in beer and tell everyone how unjust this world is, even when thy do not want to hear it.

TV's in the front room. I might turn the lights off during some scenes, but I'll probably leave one on, otherwise I tend to strain my eyes. I'll get something to snack on/drink, settled down on the couch, and then game until ungodly hours for about a week.

depends on if im at my gf's apartment or at my place....if its my place i will be playing with the lights off and i too will be squeeing....cept i will be doing it while i drive home from the store (i also will be giggling hysterically for good measure)

but if im at my girl's place she will probably kick me off so she can play it.....I love her so i will allow the interruption of my DAO time
