I already finished the game on Hardcore with a Shepherd imported from ME1 and got the achievement.  I want to use this same Sheperd to attempt Insanity.  He's a Level 28 Soldier.  If I beat the game again with this same Sheperd, does it still give me the Insanity achievement?

it should, I dont know cause I had already reached level 30 before I attempted Insanity lol

it will so long as you start with insanity and finish with insanity it will be fine lvl dosent matter hell I can maxx out all my skills at lvl 6=D

So I will still be able to get the achievement for completing insanity? I just want to be sure, because ME1 wouldn't let me do it, because it automatically defaults the difficulty you beat it at and won't let me switch it before the game starts.

ME1 was very simple:

If you choose your difficulty setting on Eden Prime and keep it for the rest of the game you'll get the achievement for the difficulty you've chosen.
