evon bp+wade heavy is a very good set if you use lot of skills as it have some nice tanking bonuses, action regen and a good armor with a very low fatigue
king set is a nice one if upgraded at lv7, kinda similar to warden but with better tanking bonuses
if instead you want to max armor and are not scared to mix stuff then diligence boots and gloves + a good bp (as blood dragon)

My next run through will be a dwarven noble warrior, dual wielding greatswords or the best 2h weapons i find.

Or you could just use http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=883 mod and use the DLC.
I'm playing on a console

Wade,s preferable if you getting the heavy get ivons chest along with it since it match the set, properly being the better choice stat wise for tanks seeing as it also free a slot for a helm piece to be used, think there a rock something i think its called from one the merchants in orzammer helm if you alot into matching sets looks, some 10 or 20physical resistent i believe so also useful for tanking.
Second choice as tank with no DLC transferabiliy would properly be juggernaut due to the high armor and also resistance on it.

Warden Commander. Blood Dragon looks incredibly stupid, like a squat, medieval Cylon.
Lol, I noticed that it doesn't look as terrible on elves, they don't look as squat. Agree with the rest of it though

Don't know about other formats, but I'm on the PC. I keep the blood armor around just so I can wear it when I transfer to Awakening. You loose the armor, but keep the +3 ST and WP.
See the patch on my sig.
On topic, Warden Commander all the way. It's the coolest looking armor in all the game (Awakening included), and it can be upgraded up to Tier 9, which makes it comparable to any Tier 9 armor in Awakening, and makes it look even cooler.
(Tier 7 --> Tier 9 comparison)

strangely my stats with the armor merged into my base stats when imported wearing warden commander armor. Is this a common bug or exploit?Elhanan wrote...
I prefer Warden Commander armor, but neither set will transfer to Awakenings. If the sequel is your goal, I then recommend Wade's Superior line.

Its my understanding that its deliberate. Which is why I don't know why anyone would rather have their Blood or Warden armor transfer.

Surely by personal likes. Warden Commander's armor is the one I like the most in the entire game/expansion. Maybe it's not the most powerful (although at Tier 9 I think it's already powerful enough), but I don't really care about "extreme power".
