For those still having this problem, it worked for me simply by using the /NCRC command line.
Google it if you don't know how to use it, pretty simple.

Well, here's how you do that /NCRC line:

1. Go to Start > Run (or Windows icon > All Programs > Accessories > Run on Windows 7)
2. Click Browse
3. Go to the directory that you stored the DLC at (usually Downloads)
4. After the path, outside the quotes, type /NCRC (do not put that in the quotes)
5. Click Open

For some, this might work. However, I just tried this, and it got through most of it, then it just said "Installation Failed" at the end. I've been getting this same error, and tried this, have done the msconfig trick (which worked for the Zaheed one), tried other browsers (will try Opera if Downloadthemall doesn't fix this), and I'm still coming up with the NSIS error. The command line passed by the error, but you now know that I got stonewalled anyway, which makes me sure that it's something with the file (I check regularly for viruses and that, and I know I have enough space on my hard drive).

I play the game through Steam (and hope ME3 will be avaliable through that after hearing all of this crap about Origin), and I have it on an external hard drive that had 2TB's worth of space. Every single game runs perfectly on it, and all DLC has been able to be downloaded and played without a hitch besides the Zaheed one (which also had the NSIS bug) and, of course, this one which has stonewalled me at every turn.

Sorry to revise an old topic, but I'm looking for any workaround or fix to something I paid for.

Want to provide an update.

Okay, the Downthemall thing didn't work. It's still getting the NSIS thing.

So I tried DLing it through Opera, and here's where  the weirdness begins:

It gets past the NSIS thing, so I'm like "FINALLY!" However, it appears to install, and it tells me "Installation failed!" No explanation as to why it failed. So, thinking that, since I have a working package this time, I click on the exact same file (trust me, I did it through the Opera browser: it was the same file that worked the last time I clicked it)...

..AND IT BRINGS ME THE NSIS ERROR ON THAT AGAIN!

That shouldn't be, right? Something that didn't have the error suddenly does? Could it be something on my computer that I might need to scan for? This is getting annoying, because I've literately tried EVERYTHING to get this to install, and I get either of the two errors. I would use the command line, but then I get the installation failed thing. Remember, too, that I paid 7 bucks for this. I want my DLC to work, especially when I paid for the damn thing.

Here's a pic of what I mean by the "instal failed" thing: i188.photobucket.com/albums/z179/darkpowrjd/install_failed.jpg.

Win 7 64 bit solution. turn on UAC to medium high, let the install fail once, then it prompts you about program potentially not being installed properly, click the install using recommended settings.

XP solution, downgrade installation to 1.01, install kasumi, upgrade to 1.02

BIOWARE!!! WHY THE **** AM I DOING YOUR WORK FOR YOU!!!!

EDIT: Win7 users, also remember to apply 1.02 patch after the dlc has been installed

Now, personally, I do not buy DLC, and cannot offer direct comments in that regard, however I have read some of the threads about the matter, and I am sure Kloreep covered it, as well as many other message thread in the forum archives other than this one you added your comment to.

A professional search engine is a far superior route into the local archives. Just add a redirector as part of the criteria to limit the range to this site:

site:social.bioware.com

If a better way to search didn't help, and Kloreep didn't cover it with a FAQ in his compendium (I'm betting he did), please begin your renewed request with a new thread of your own, starting from Pacifien's guide to reporting, pinned as a sticky on top with "Read First" as the first two words.

P. S.  There is no "Bioware" in here.  Just game players.  The forum descriptions covers it all:

"This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PC to assist each other with technical questions.  Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here."

Ok, so i'm running windows 7 64bit, just downloaded everything and successful installed it, except for Kasumi, in which case i'm getting the NSIS error.

Has any reliable fix been found? i've tried most of the stuff in this thread with no luck.

Okay sooooooooo, I have a slightly diffrent problem.

Installed fine, played through it, and "bam" ME2 crashes at the post-mission screen when i hit "exit"

Ive tried re-downloading the DLC a couple of times, and (on a somewhat releated point) it's always 991 mb ><

Edit:
Well must have been an odd save or something, redid the complete mission, and It worked, no crash at the post-mission screen :)

Having the same problems, 991mb download, NSIS error. Not happy about having spent money on this today, to find this problem and this thread is over a year old.

Same here. This is very frustrating. Wanted to do a ME2 run with all DLC before ME3..

Error still occurs. I've download four times now. This attempt will be my fifth. It appears, from what I can see in this thread, that there is nothing you can do to troubleshoot this problem except to keep downloading the DLC over and over again and pray that it might work.

Unless you warez it.

Update: I can't imagine how this is good for Bioware's bandwidth. Here we go, attempt six!

Nothing has changed since I added that comment to the thread, although I've added some emphasis formatting to it.

3rd Try was the charm for me.
I kept getting an installation failure rather than a NSIS error.

My recomendation if you get a failure redownload, eventually you'll get a good image.

I suspect that some of EA/Bioware's drives have been corrupted. Once you download from a drive that has a good image things will go fine.

I'm still having no luck, but I'm certain you are correct about this, rihno13.
