You realize this is a whole other conversation if you're talking to someone who's read Ascension.

I read that and it's now the reason I hate them even more than I did when I finished the first game. They killed Kohoku! Killed him!

How was Kohaku a traitor? He was trying to locate the marine unit that went missing under his command, who were murdered by Cerberus for their experiments.

He then tried to track down Cerberus but it backfired and they ended up hunting him. I don't see traitor in any of that.

Hmm does anyone know where I can find the list of crimes cerb done on Humanity for the sake of Humanity?

Just off the top of my head..

- Dropping Thresher Maws on Alliance colonists and soldiers to see what would happen
- Experimenting on one of the survivors, traumatizing him even more
- Experimenting on, among other things, Rachni drones, Husks and Thorian Creepers
- Lured and murdered Admiral Kohaku's scout unit then murdered Kohaku himself
- Experimented on humans with Reaper technology

Kohaku was a traitor, sure that incident may have drove him to be, but he was still a traitor nontheless.

Wait....what?

He was prepared to sell out information confidentialof the Alliance to agents of the Shadow Broker in order to satisfy his needs in his investigation of Cerberus.  HE got what was coming to him.

- Turned another colony into thorian creepers
- Several assassinations
- They find many of their workers expendable. You know what happened to over a hunderd of them?

Now I remember, that wasn't info on the Alliance the agent wanted. Kohaku promised Cerberus intel in exchange. Doesn't make Kohaku a traitor

They have killed people. Harmed innocent quarians. Killed people. Mind fracked Jack. Killed people. Done horrible experiments. Killed people. Oh and I mentioned that they have killed innocent people? Like women and children.

I will turn on cerberus first chance I get to destroy it as an organization...even if the Alliance is corrupt and the Council and everything.  I will not allow cerberus to be the bastion of hope against the Reapers.  Besides, TIM is working for me or not at all.

Did you miss the conversation you have with the shadow brokers one agent after you take out the Cerberus base?

I see what you're doing here? Virtual Life Cerberus does Real Life propaganda to lighten their image up for ME3, so we don't stomp the yard of little TIMmy, huh!?

At the end of that questline it was apparent that he made a deal with agents of the Shadow Broker that could have put the Alliance at a disadvantage since Cerberus was linked to the Alliance.  This was information for Alliance eyes only.

Oh right, that.
Yeah that isn't being a traitor at all. Dealing with the Shadow Broker was risky and probably what got him killed what with their double dealing and Cerberus spies. But he was desperate and being stonewalled at every turn. I don't blame him, and let's remember it was Cerberus murdering his marines that put him in that position in the first place.

You're a traitor, Onyx, by definition. We all are. Shepard stole an Alliance warship in game 1 and in game 2 you're working with Cerberus against Alliance and Council jurisdiction.

Kahoku cared about his men and only wanted to find them.

That would be like a army official selling out information of the NSA to the KGB

You know, in all honesty, if Cerberus is still linked to the Alliance then anyone exposing them is a damn hero in my book.
Cerberus are a bunch of terrorists and the people in the Alliance who support them must go down, and will go down in ME3. Yep. Shep and Hackett will kick their asses.

No, Hackett is not a Cerberus supporter.
Shut up I'm not listening he's clean la la la la.

Sorry Angry, he's right.  Anderson doesn't know about it, but Udina and Hackett do.

Not really. Do the equivalent of that in ME would make Kohaku a traitor. With Cerberus no longer within the Chain O'Command of the SA, their files would not be Alliance files anymore. Besides the Shadow Broker isn't with some enemy of the SA, SB is its own separate entity with its little fingers in everything. Only good example I can think of would be Charlescomm from Erfworld.

Well regardless of whether or not they are linked to the alliance, doing that questline it seemed like at one point they definately were linked to the Alliance.

And I wouldn't doubt that some of the Admirals and higher ups at the Alliance would know of the connection, Kahoku didn't and this put him in an impossible situation.

Good! Then you agree that one's acting in defiance of set laws or Alliance regulations does not make one deserving of death?

That is more correct, but it would be like selling out a top secret part of the NSA to a spy agency.  SB is an information broker and could sell that information to the highest bidder putting the Alliance at a disadvantage.

One can ask for death and not deserve it
