ME2: Kasumi DLC isn't included in Cerberus Network??

Yes i agree bioware is renowned for high quality content. Certainly 'free' products should be up to par with ''paid' products. However the Hammerhead vs Kasumi is certainly a miles away in terms of quality for me. (my opinion)
I have no problems with bundling content at a later date (get the game + all the DLC for X dollars). But im hoping BW will make additional DLCs 'free'/'paid' for a long time yet. And hopefully my $ will support them at that.
To me ME2 is a complete game. DLCs are additional content. But thats probably not going to change your mind. We both have our own opinions, but i think $7 is ok for this content while you disagree.. lets just leave it at that.

The real problem with the points system is that it makes no sense when you are not operating under the restrictions of a closed system. I can kinda accept the point thing for the 360 (after all, you can buy point cards locally and the like - I think) but there is literally no reason that I can see for having points on an open system like the PC.

You're telling me you wouldn't pay a little more, and wait a little longer for DLC that's larger in length, and available instore?

not to jump in your convo, but i wouldn't support physical copies. i would support larger dlc content and wait however long it takes to finish. but as far as i'm concerned, digital distribution is the way of the future and the sooner people stop wanting to buy physical copies the better. i imagine a world with no gamestops and no boxes or spinning discs.

I gotta admit scyphoza I want my shinies. Rather like a magpie in that way I suppose...well at least I don't deny it! But everything should be available digitally and maybe even a few shekels cheaper. Me I'll keep my box and goodies 99% of the time.
yeah, some boxes have really nice swag. its not that i want to discourage the physical sales as much as i'd like to see digital distrubution become predominant and physical sales take a backseat.

its $7 USD i lol at people who complain about paying for this ... Support your developers why dont ya.. also, 560 points is purchasable. Exactly.
Right, because we have jobs.
So do the X Bioware game developers, cinematic developers, voice actors, etc etc etc.
I'd say $7 is more than reasonable for this piece of art. Hell I'd say it was worth it even without the extra mission. Kasumi plain rocks.
I also quite like the points system. I don't have a creditcard so I tend to go and buy wallie cards. Bought 2k points a while back, cause I thought dragon age would get a lot more DLC, which it wouldn't really get, but now that ME2 is also on this system, it rocks.
Imo they should put ME1 DLC up here aswell. Funny how EA store only supports creditcards and online banking, while this system also supports walie cards and all that.

And I would rather see it all in stores, with no DLC. DLC I can manage, but games like ME2 that are easily 8 gigs... No thanks. Especially when you have to download and install it all again when you reinstall your OS. I'd prefer putting a disc in my PC, let the setup boot up and complete, and be done.
Next to that, physical boxes usually have awesome artwork. And I like awesome artwork.

many things don't make sense when you bring 'console' ideas into the PC market. Just look at Games for Windows Live. It's Xbox Live Lite for a PC. But when you realise that Microsofts PC gaming group falls in with their 'Entertainment' division rather than their Windows division you see why they've gone that way. It's a proven and money earning system for the Xbox and they're reluctant to change it. The general consensus seems to be that the console market turns in a better profit than the PC one, so making a system for the console users and porting to the PC is the path of least resistance.CatatonicMan wrote...

Anyway, back to the original post of this thread - Cerberus Network was not meant to be an all in DLC option. It's a way to make money off 2nd hand sales of the games. EA/Bioware seemed to have jumped on this idea more than anyone else, but basically you give free access to the Cerberus Access via a once off code to anyone who buys the game new. Any future content that would be released for free, is well free to anyone who has a code. Publishers/Developers don't make any money off 2nd hand sales of the game, so offering paid access to the 'free content' gives them a chance to make something out of that 2nd hand sale. Paid DLC is a seperate issue. So basically:
Ceberus Network (Free DLC): Access given to anyone who buys the game new. Access can be bought for people who didn't buy the game new. A method designed to potentially let the publisher make money off a 2nd hand sale.

What
problems? They sell you the only DLC you want for $7 but can only buy
points in increments of $10. It's fantastic.
Yeah,
that kind of annoyed me. I wanted to buy the exact 560 points, but I
couldn't. Well, it was only 3 bucks more that I'll probably use
sometime.
People seem to take the "Oh never mind" attitude to this.... To me it's utterly, utterly imoral, and disgusting.
Wit. So people spending their money how they want is IMMORAL? Somebody call the THOUGHT POLICE!

I'm not sure about you guys, but for me there actually is a "Buy 560 Bioware points" option. It costs 4.88 Euros. I imagine it would be there for everyone, except the currency would be different.

Everyone has this option.... it changes to the correct currency depending on where you are.

Second off it was announced prior to the release of ME2 by the developers there would be free DLC released via Cerberus Network and Premium DLC that would cost money to EVERYBODY.
So please people stop complaining about Kasumi costing money and it should be free on Cerberus Network. Do your research as it was announced prior to the release of ME2 there would be paid DLC for everybody. It would be nice for Kasumi to have been free via Cerberus Network but I glady spent $7 to download her and I am glad I did. In my honest opinion she was worth every penny.
