Ok so I know I get Wynne at the Circle and she is a great healer. But I don't really want to run around with her in my party and I rather not go there first. My current PC is a 2h warrior and I want to go to orzammar first to pick up the dwarf guy there for beserker. If I choose to not go to the circle first will I need to have morigann pick up healing talents or can I get by on hard without them?

Certain fights without a healer/supporter type you'd better have a ungodly amount of healing Poultices to get by really. If you REALLY don't want to run with a Healer I'd highly suggest unlocking the Spirit Healer Spec, getting only heal from the normal line for Morrigan and maybe the group heal from the Spirit Healer Spec. See how you can do from there.

I'm doing a human noble run right now without a healer and with a good supply of potions I've had no problems.

Completed my playtrough on nightmare and this is my opinion on the matter:

At least get the basic heal for morrigan, all mages should spend 1 point on it.

Orzamar is the worst place to go first, your really making it harder for very little bonus, you should wait until you at least have some warrior/2handed talents before going for berzerker talents.

It is by no mean "impossible" to go trough the game without wynne on the higher difficulty settings, many have done it, but you will have to reload on most encounters. You probably will never beat the high dragon on hard/nightmare without a real healer so I'm warning you, there was a thread about it. The problem is that some enemies have "grab" type of attacks which prevent your tank from using potions, so no heal = dead tank on the higher difficulty settings.

You don't NEED Wynne, but she makes battles easier. Two of the hardest Boss battles I've done, (both in the Mage's tower), were laughably easy simply 'cuz I had her there healing up Alistair and Dog.

Soooo. . .yeah. It all depends of whether or not you want to waste a few seconds having your warriors sucking back the healing pots, or have Wynne, (who can learn some awesome disrupting / disabling spells), there to free them to do what they're meant to do

I gave morrigan the basic heal & don't regret it at all. She can't revive anyone, but her helping out on healing along with everyone else using their heal potions has been just fine in my game. Besides, giving her heal only takes one skill slot so it's not like you have to invest a lot for the ability to be used.

My party this play through has had her in it permanently without Wynn & I've been fine.

I like having Wynn now, but in the beginning Morrigan's one heal spell works decent. My second run thru the game will be easier (the patch will make it easier I"m sure- but I'm postponing downloading that), and I'll use Morrigan. She doesn't fit in my "good" party anyways.
