I was wondering if it is possible to change main character appearance in game through scripting.
By appearance I mean face skin color, haircut ... (i.e. a small change from the original character, not shapeshifting).
Maybe by scripting a tint change (for skin colour), but I wonder if it can be done.
Any ideas ?

Nope, not possible directly. I believe those pieces are all part of the model (including the hair which is why it is so static in-game).
If the variations aren't too many, you could try extending the appearance 2da and using that ID in a SetAppearance call.

I want to change the skin color of the main character face. But if I create a new appearance I will not be able to refer to the player face mesh. Right ?

No, you cannot do that.
Based on the discussion in this thread - http://social.biowar...8/index/2103794 - it seems face morphs cannot be changed. Either you can retain them or completely override the model. Sorry for giving false hope with my first post - I hadn't actually tried that but seemed a logical way to go.
