On the Kasumi loyalty mission (on Insanity) after your done blowing a hole in the wall with the tank, it goes  "Kill Solomon Gunn, but take Kasumi alive!" (well something like
that...) theres a mech and some goons you have to take care of. Well after an EPIC battle I saw that I was out of ammunition so i backtracked near the wall I blew up, but i didn't go through the wall. After I found some clips (guns running at 60 now) I was making my way back to where I just fought the mech. Then all of the sudden it goes "Kill Solomon Gunn, but take Kasumi alive!" (well something like that...) then the same goons come out fo nowhere and the same  mech!!!!!!:o:o I really need help. I don't have any more clips. When I started the battle I was full at 250 but now i only have 60. Not enough ammo to go through that again. Is this a glitch or is insane that hard??????:crying::crying::crying: Did this happen to anyone??

I didn't have this glitch, but my glitch is equally frustrating. Twice this has happened.

At the end, when you and Kasumi are on the outdoors platform with Hock in his ship, a bunch of goons rise up from platforms. Dispense as usual. Given the opportunity, blast at Hock to wear down his shields. Another platform of goons rises up again. Dispense as usual.

Here's the deal; if you kind of ignore the 2nd wave of goons and just concentrate on Hock, you can wear down his first level of shields... to the point where you trigger (not a cutscene) him leaving to go recoup his shields. I know this is what he's doing because on a different attempt, I actually dispense of 3 waves of goons before I had the opportunity to fire at Hock.

Anyway, back to my "glitch" ... so Hock disappears under the platform and no more goons come. And, Hock remains beneath the platform, as indicated by the map (Right Bumper). His ship is a red circle, located near a Med Kit by the closest set of stairs to a higher platform.

This sucks. As with you, I'm on Insanity and replaying this is getting old. I don't know what to do... I've walked all over the platform trying to trigger something. It's almost as if Bioware didn't expect you to trigger this "hey I'm a wimp and must retreat" bit with Hock so soon. Like, "The player must endure endless waves of goons before we left him resume". I kinda feel this way because, like I said earlier, on a different attempt, I didn't concentrate on Hock as much ... rather, the goons. I took potshots at Hock and eventually triggered him to retreat. On this attempt, he came back with full shields and Kasumi tells me that she can disable them if she can get onboard... I died shortly after hearing that audio so I don't know how the rest plays out.

Bioware? Thoughts??

I found myself in a similar situation on my playthrough. Hock's gunship got 'stuck' at a certain point. Enemies were no longer spawning but Kasumi kept telling me to clear a path so she can disable the shields.

I am glad I'm not alone in this. Should expect problems though with new dlc. Hopefully Bioware is looking into it.

Some months and patches later ant the Hock battleship fight glitch is still there. It's driving me mad, because it happened on 2 attempts at fighting Hock on Insanity difficulty (challenging, though easier than the last battle of Paragon path through the Price of Revenge). Worried that it might happen again, I don't even feel like doing it for the 3rd time.

Yeah, it's happening for me... I don't know what to do... it's holding up my entire playthrough.

The same thing happened to me 3 times on Hardcore as a Vanguard. 4th time it came good.

I got the impression that I killed Hock and his goons too quickly - as a Vanguard with biotic charge, I took them out within a few seconds and took down Hock's shields soon after.

I have no idea of whether this is/was actually true or not, but for my 4th try I deliberately killed eveybody really slowly. I never used biotic charge, and spaced out my attacks. That time it worked.

I have no idea if there was a link between my approach and that success, or if it was just dumb luck - but it did work. Either way I can at least confirm that it is possible to overcome the glitch, I just can't be sure of exactly what did it.

I like to think that I was such a goddamn awesome & efficient Vanguard, that I broke the game!
