Where can I get an UNbroken Awakenings?

So where can I get a copy of Awakenings
that WORKS? This buggy version is bogus and not ready for release
yet. Usually when I beta test something it does not cost me $45 to
do it. Is there a finished product I can download?
I contacted BioWare's customer service
and they said that they don't actually provide support for the actual
software that they write. (???) They suggested that I go to the forum
for a solution as to why Awakenings will not trigger the
confrontation with Velanna.
You can see how well that worked here: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/2103854
Yeah. Sort of like a dealership saying
“we don't actually work on the cars we sell. Why don't you ask
somebody at the bus stop to fix it”
Since Awakenings is junk an obviously
never tested, I can not get the game to trigger the confrontation
with Velanna, so I can get her to join the group, so the Silverite
Mine will unlock. And if the Silverite Mine will not unlock, you
are left with running from town to town in a circle hoping to get a
random encounter, because the story line comes to a complete halt.
Since BioWare refuses to help me, out
of desperation I went into console mode and entered RUNSCRIPT
ZZ_TRP_DEBUB. It gave me the option of triggering the encounter with
Velanna! I chose that option and was whisked off to the Dalish camp!
Of course it was still empty. No Velanna. The plot sequence
arrowhead was still there like it has been for the last FOUR DAYS,
but the plot was still halted.
I reloaded the game and went into
console mode again and entered RUNSCRIPT ZZ_TRP_DEBUB. It Gave me
the option of triggering Capture in Silverite Mine. So there I was
in my undies in jail. Sweet, I can move on.... funny though,
everyone else is wearing peasants cloths and I am not. I proceed to
clear out the mine and talk to the trader. I found an empty chest
next to him, and a chest with 5 items in the connecting room.
At that point I got on the web and
looked. Sure ENOUGH, another BioWare BUG. If you wake up stripped
in the cell, YOU LOSE ALL YOUR STUFF!
When it comes to writing games that you
just are NOT allowed to finish, BioWare has mastered it. Even if you
use their own debugging tools, the game is so broken you can not
complete it unless you walk away naked.
So where can I get a copy of Awakenings
that WORKS? Let me know of give me my money back.

I completely understand the frustration. I've been playing Bioware games since the very first Baldur's Gate (and loved them all) and have endured tons of problems and bugs but i've always been able to play the game or get good support .. can't get support nor play the game now which, of course, is frustrating.
In recent years, I see gamers relying more on forums for assistance in overcoming problems which at one time had solutions provided by the game developer. Sure, the developer will not get involved in mod related issues but they should be very pro active with vanilla game glitches - after sales service.

amen
to that. sure there were bugs to their older games as well, there is no
such thing like a software without some. however it was never this
horrible and they were providing fast patches for the bigger issues with
big patches for the rest coming later. as it should be.
but we
don´t even hear from them anything.

your are right, but tech forums always had gamers helping out in the past too. sure mods are a different thing, but awakening has nothing to do with it, it´s just impossible bugy, it´s like it has never seen any sort of QA Team at all, or they were nosepicking during testing. during playing and all the bugs and crashes i had some horrible Gothic 3 flashbacks
even a short look at dragon age wiki considering npc´s and quest bugs shows this very well, and they haven´t even covered most of the problems.

naWick: are you using any mods with your game, or is it straight vanilla?
I really liked Origins so I forked out for: Shale, RTO and Wardens Keep.
I guess it's vanilla + DLC. When I bought Awakenings and installed it, it said I no longer owned the DLC, so I un-installed both apps, and did a fresh install, and activated the DLC.
It worked okay (except that I could never tell anybody whether to defend the city, roads or farms because that , too, would not trigger) but the plot halted with Trading Troubles. Saturday, Sunday, Monday night, Tuesday night, and in debug mode Last night-- all wasted because it wont trigger.
What I find disgraceful is that it won't even trigger using the DEBUG code!
I used to be a C programmer before my job was "Offshored" and if I had signed off and released something this rotten it would have cost me my job.

ALL IN ALL I GIVE Awakenings a big 3 out of 10!
I have played Origins through a couple of times, but I have no desire to fight with this pathetic mish mash of code.
Now I have to find out how I can undo my cd key so I can sell this thing on ebay.
What a joke.
