Hearing Steve Valentine in Mass Effect would be nice. Maybe we'll get him in ME3. I do have to say though I would never have guessed he was Alistair's VA from his picture.

I think that by and large, the VO cast for the Mass Effect games is one of the finest ever assembled for a game series. I get so sick of lazy castings, or celebrity stunt castings that lead to otherwise enjoyable games being ruined by awful line delivery. Thank goodness that Bioware are one of those companies who realise that yes, the characters ARE important to the enjoyment of a game, and that the voice acting IS a big part of this. Hell, in the ME universe, even the backround characters are voiced by seasoned industry pros (Jim Cummings FTW!). This is a very good sign.



The main cast are all superb, but for me it's Jenniffer Hale, Michael Beattie and Brandon Keener in particular who make this game. (I could listen to Keener all day. )



I always get slightly concerned when companies start slipping down the 'let's cast celebrities' slope in games.animation, because voice actring is a skill in it's own right and many actors (Claudia Black, I'm looking at you) just don't have the knack for it that professional voice actors have. Here's hoping that ME3 continues the standard we've come to expect from the ME universe.

Kudos to the voice actors though! Awesome jobs in ME1 and ME2! Can't wait for ME3!

I have yet to be let down by a Bioware game when it comes to voice acting.  They are the best not just for story, but for the the actors and it seems with every new game they release they're just topping themselves in that department.  I remember being just this side of skeptical when I started hearing some of the big names for ME2 (Martin Sheen, Tricia Helfer, etc.) but hearing them in previews and playing the game, they're just right.  Alot of credit should be given to the voice director(s) as well.

It's also interesting to put faces with names / characters.  Steve Blum, who is in just about everything, I would have never guessed, or Michael Beattie or D.C. Douglas.  Kudos for finding all the pics.

Still am and always will be a nutty Keythe Farley (who was a voice director on the recently released God of War 3) / Thane Krios fan!

Peter Jessop did the voice of Sovereign in the original. The voice sounds pretty much the same, and he is attached to the ME2 credits. I'd probably say he did Harbinger as well, but I havent been able to find anything to confirm it.

I'd probably pick Martin Sheen aka Illusive Man. He has a distinct voice and does his lines brilliant imo.

This. They all did a great job voicing those characters (i was especially impressed with Tali's VA in the 2nd game) but Jennifer Hale is....well, Jennifer Hale.

Glad someone started this thread, the VAs are all terrific.
Taking a look at these pictures, by and large the VAs are a pretty nice looking bunch of folks. What happened to the whole "face for radio" thing?
Oh and I definitely agree with whoever said they should have used Meer's face as the default Shep.
