I always thought Mark Meer did an absolutely awesome job with the MaleShep's voice. I'm very glad that Bioware chose him as the voice of MaleShep.

Mark Meer is awesome as Commander Shepard and Martin Sheen IS the Illusive Man. But for ALL voice actors, I would steal Brandon Keener's voice if I could. DAMN, it sounds so bad ass and cool.

I've learned to tolerate Meer, but only if I take a very particular path with his dialogue. Mostly the Renegade path. Pick the wrong kind of dialogue, he just sounds disingenuous about it all. Also, it greatly depends on how Shepard looks. The default with Meer's voice doesn't seem right.

I very much like Mark Meer in ME2, actually. I don't see him as monotone at all. I kind of like that he holds back more with his emotions on the paragon or neutral paths. I guess that's largely because I try to play Shepard as levelheaded as possible (which means taking the neutral path instead of Paragon a lot), and Hale's voice acting, while good, is often overwrought with emotion and makes it harder to play that way for me, though I can definitely see why others might prefer it that way. She always sounds like she's trying to be comforting or friendly in those lines, which is cool if that's what you're going for, but can be annoying if it isn't. That's the thing, though - you can never predict what tone a player want's a line to be in, so I guess that's another reason I prefer the more reserved approach.

Yeah, it seems that way.  I guess it's because there are more photos of the other Kimberly Brooks circulating around the internet since she's an on-screen actor. 

I'm pretty sure the Kimberly Brooks I posted is the one who voiced Ash.  One of the photos I posted is from a voice acting panel she did at ComicCon and another is from a cartoon VO session.
