I'll give you Black, but Strahovski?
About as interesting a portrayal as a damp piece of cloth.

I havent forgotten as much as just havent had the chance to update everyone. Finding a picture for Jan, the Asari Councilor VA took alot longer than I expected. Being a stage actress pictures for her arent as common and those that are, arent exactly close, or ended up as bad angles. Thank you for the assistance however. Next chance I get to update the main page I will take advantage of the photos provided.

Black? As in Claudia? Really? Was a fan of Farscape and SG1, but in VO, I can't listen to her. Especially not next to Jenniffer Hale. I always find the 'celebrity' voices fall down in comparison to the professional VAs.
Each to their own.

Have you listened to Morrigan? That's the reason most people like her, not Xen. Of course the whole Stargate and Farscape thing helps as well.

Yeah. I find her delivery very stilted. It was the same in Uncharterd 2, and God of War. I always feel like she's reading from a page, not embodying the character. It's the same damn thing every time. But that's just me. Each to their own.
I do think there is a misconception that voice acting is easy, though. A lot of celebrities seem to do it for an easy paycheck, and there are so few who nail it. I remember Billy West giving off about how he (and others) would be called in to record dialogue, then their tracks would be played to the celebrity and they'd be told to 'do it like that'. Then they'd produce a souless performance. When regular actors are VOing alongside the pros, sometimes the difference can be quite noticable (a good example of this is Scarlet Johanssen in The Spongebob Squarepnats Movie. There's something just...not quite big enough about her voice, when conversing with Tom Kenny).
But I digress majorly. lol. Sorry. Mass Effect voice cast. Awesome. (best cast since the Soul Reaver games, IMO! And that is high priase indeed, comeing from me. lol
I SUPPORT THIS THREAD!

I thought Claudia Black did an awesome job as Morrigan. Definitely one of the reasons I decided to go after her on my first play through. She's pretty cute, too.
Agreed 100%. Thought she was totally robbed for the Best VA Award at the VGA's (seriously...Megan Fox? Seriously?). But that's the VGA's for ya.

and....HelllOOOOO, Shiala's voice actress - Gwen Yeo. She also did Sha'ira's voice. Mmm.

Mind you many of these "celebrity" VAs are celebrities because they are superb actors in their own rights. Hence their celebrity status. People like Micheal Hogan, Lance Henriksen, and Dwight Schultz are famous FOR A REASON.janeym27 wrote...

Well seeing as they're hosted by Spike TV and most of the winners are determined by online polling there isnt a whole lot of "honor" in winning the awards. So yeah Megan Fox winning was nothing but a bunch of college fanboys with nothing better to do than spam accounts for voting cause she was hawt.

Check the female alien VA @ 7:08.
I've also heard she voices a character Suu, in another Clone War episode but strangely "The Deserter" Part 3 seems to be missing from YouTube and I cant find it anywhere else short looking for a torrent. If anyone has seen the episode and can comment I'd appericate the help, or if they have a good link to the episode in question.
The VA is Cara Pifko, a Canadian actress. Shes attached as "Additional Voices" with Mass Effect 2 and I think she kinda looks like Kelly too from this picture, which wouldnt be surprising since alot of the characters have some modeling based off the VAs behind them.

time 1:10
Heres also a clip with her as a role on General Hospital as D.A. Louise Addison

Great VAs are one of the most important things to me when playing games, to the extent where I would rather play a game with bad graphics but great voice acting over one with great graphics and bad voice acting. It is fundamental for imersion especially in RPGs yet so many games are still getting it wrong. Lucky for us Bioware are always brilliant!
My personal favourite is Jennifer Hale, if only because I found out that she is in most of my favourite games; Mass Effect, KotOR, Metal Gear, Mercenaries...as well as plenty of cartoons I remember watching as a kid like Powerpuff Girls (Miss Keane & Princess Morbucks), Totally SPies (Sam and Mandy) and the Hex Girls in Scooby Doo! True talent right there and I personally love the amount of emotion she puts into the Paragon lines as FemShep, I always play Shepard as someone always trying to stay human and involved.
Of course Sbarge's voice is just- well get him to read the dictionary and I'd be happy. And its great to hear so many big names like Martin Sheen and Keith David doing amazing work. I am quite obsessed with the way Sheen/TIM says 'SShepard'.

If I were to list all the VA's I enjoy the list would never end but I really like FemShep, and the guy who did Sovereign.

Hey all, I'm doing some research on trying to narrow down Kelly Chambers' VA. I have a lead and I'd like to get some other peoples options on it.

Yeah it does sound like her, quite a lot.
Could that be her!

I love almost all of the voice actors/actresses in ME1/ME2 they all did an outstanding job but I got to give kudos to Martain Sheen. He makes the Illusive Man who he is and I can't imagine him being voiced by anybody else.
I can. William B. Davis. Not to say that he'd do better but i can definitely picture him doing TIM's voice.
Also, i have to congratulate the OP. This thread is getting quite impressive.
