I've had the same problems and bioware's support had me uninstall the game, delete my saves, unplug my modem, put in a new code. All for naught. I find it shameless that they know clearly know its an internal problem yet send you on this run around. I'm thinking I'll just buy the feastday pack at this point, since remarkably enough the only way to resolve the problem is to pay them money. After being treated like this I don't think I'll be buying EA/bioware ever again.

So this is all really a trick to make players purchase their $3 DLC?

If only it were one of the story ones, then it would have at least be worth my while.

yeah I had the same problem as everyone in this thread. Got the same answers from EA: Connection suggestions, re-installing patch, cookies, cache, etc. and finally got that "it's too complex" answer. The thing for me is, the first EA rep actually did something to fix it(temporarily). I saw all three items on the list so I start to download them one by one. I managed to download the Collector's Edition items and install them. I went back to the list and the other two were gone. The CE items showed that it was downloaded. Haven't gotten it fixed since. At least EA identified the problem now..... maybe.

EDIT:
I forgot to add I tested this on my brother's PS3. Logged on to my account and loaded DA and none of the CE content is on the list. So the only way I can get the one thing i downloaded is to go to my history.

For an update, this issue has been identified and appears to be an issue in the PS3 store configuration. We're in communication with Sony and are working with them to get this resolved.

We apologize for the time that it is taking to get this resolved, but the team has been working toward a fix.

Is there any chance to get it resolved before 4/30, since the codes expire that day? I redeemed them following the instructions by the letter, but I'm afraid that they won't appear in my download list (either in-game or PSN).

US game, US console, US account.

I decided to but the Feastday Combo pack and it has worked. I have sent the following to EA and Bioware fwiiw:

Hello there,
I recently made a choice. One that sits most uncomfortably,
but one which I can afford and allows me to play. I purchased the Feastday
Combo and all of the DLC is back, as per others' anecdotal experience. Though I
know Tech Support is not responsible for this, I would encourage you to pass on
to your Supervisors and Managers that having customers purchase a solution runs
contrary to ensuring long-term loyalty. I will be sharing this with Bioware as
well.

With concern,
F

The following is what I have sent to Bioware fwiiw:

Hello there,

At one time reporting this to you directly would be effective. I now no longer know if this is the case since your new relationship with EA. I am attaching my correspondence with EA in respect to the loss of the DLC once the Feastday Combo Pack was released. I have resolved the issue as per others’ experience, which meant I had to pay to acquire the DLC included in my initial purchase. Regardless of where you are now as a corporate body, at one time this experience would have mattered to you and I, to be frank, hope this is still the case.

Yeah I read through boards here and elsewhere that Bioware alone was great at resolving customer issues. It's a shame that joining EA has made such a difference in the way things are done.

We're close to resolving the store issue, unfortunately with the 3.3 firmware update issue that has now taken over priority so this will take a little longer, sorry.

I'll cover a couple points though that may shed some light in the meantime.

1) Codes expiring:

We will not be expiring the codes on Apr 30th given the issue with the free content appearing. I don't know what kind of extension this means yet, but there is no rush for the time being.

2) Content does not expire:

Regardless of the expiry for codes, once you have successfully redeemed a code either here on social or in-game, that item is tied to your account - that does not expire. Once we resolve the store issue that is preventing these from appearing, that item will be there for you to download for free as expected. So the only step required is to redeem the code - which you are able to continue doing up to whatever expiry date - and as long as that's done, it is all good.

You can confirm an item has been registered to your account by visiting your registered game promotions page here on social (http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php). If it appears there, it is on your account. At the moment, this also manifests itself in-game as the paid version of the item disappearing (see below) - so if you get this, that is actually a good thing.

3) Redeemed item disappears from store

This is actually working correctly and is a mechanism we put in place on purpose to prevent someone that has redeemed a free version of a DLC, to then mistakenly also purchase the paid version at a later date - hence after successfully redeeming a code, the paid version disappears.

Rest assured, that once the fix is released, the free items will appear in your store and you'll be able to download them free.

4) Feastday (or other paid content) makes the promo items available

This is not intentional, but an issue with how the store works after refreshing its contents (such as after buying something). Please do not feel obligated to purchase content for the purposes of getting promo items - there is a fix on its way for this - and you should not be getting told that this is a valid workaround from any official communications. If anyone from BioWare or EA is telling you this is what you need to do to fix it - please PM me the details.

At a high level - prior to purchasing something (e.g. enter store), the store requests and downloads its contents (art, descriptions, etc) including for promo items. We apparently hit a limit between what our store supports and what the Sony security layer allows when we add more items to it (such as promo items getting unlocked). The result is it treats this data as 'bad' and ignores it - so the items go missing from the store.

This is something that doesn't exist on test servers, hence never discovered until it went out to you and we added enough content to hit the limit (which occurred after adding Feastday).

With something like a purchased piece of content, once that data comes from servers it is stored locally - as such we request less info for the remaining items on the refresh, and all of sudden fall back within the security layer allowance, and the hidden items re-appear.

Again, we're working on an update to how the store works now that we're aware of this limit, and to ensure it will always fit within this limit moving forward. My apologies for the inconvenience in getting the promo items to you.

So, Fernando, does that mean for the people who have purchased the Feastday, in order to continue to play over the last 3 weeks, might hope to see a Wallet credit?

Hi, I received this game today for the PS3. Under my registered game promotions it shows the stone prisioner and dragon armor and under the download colume there are hash marks. What does this mean? It seems the content is registered to my acct. but it's just not showing up here and under the DLC in the game.

I have this problem as well. I redeemed both codes and both show up under my account but I can't download them from the in game downloadable content section. I guess I just have to wait it out since both of the DLC show up in my registered game promotions, but neither download show up in the downloadable section in game.

Appreciate the news but at the same time, find it still somewhat insulting.  I understand "priority", but KNOWING theres been a problem for WAY TOO LONG (honestly now!) and that its being pushed to the back burner, why would EA not take the hit and give that lame feastday pack for free.  At least until you DO fix it.  In reality what youve told us is the same thing weve been told for a week now... "working on it, just wait and unknown amount of time longer..."

Not exactly.  Its gone from the IN-GAME, but its still there for purchase on the PSN store.  Its not very encouraging to know that my items are missing and can not be downloaded is "actually working correctly".  This isnt exactly "good" news.  At this point frustrations are a bit high to be sugar coating the same "wait an undisclosed amount of time" answer.  Again, this is directed at the situation and its managment, not you personally.

Of COURSE its not intentional :bandit:.  But in all seriousness, WE know its a workaround.  YOU know its a workaround (as can be clearly determined in your response).  Why must loyal fans, customers, and ultimately constituents in EA/BW be told in a long drawn out msg to keep waiting?  Have you tested if giving users with this problem the silly feastday pack for free?  Would that be a temporary fix to keep your people happy?  Or are we not worth the $1.99/$2.99?

So why are PS3 users and EA/BW investors (because every purchase IS an investment in your future!), stuck in waiting?  Especially when theres a potential simple fix available.

Now let me first say that I will admit most of my posts contributed to this forum have requested a free "handout" (if you will).  Im very much not that kind of person.  However, im a very loyal customer that spends far too much money on video games.  I dont usually do the online community thing, so I dont have a bunch of chit-chat posts.  When I see this many ppl around the web, having similar problems.  Getting little to no answers or support.  Being told to wait, wait, wait, sugar coated wait, and who knows whats next.  I had to speak up.  Knowing that there is a workaround, id like it fixed now instead of
waiting longer.

Is there a ETA for this fix?

I dont want to sound ungrateful at all.  The fact that theres finally been a response does add a little ray of sunshine on this poopoo situation.  I just think that its been an excessive amount of time for a game so big from a company thats a HUGE part of the current gaming industry.  I just dont feel like EA or BioWare is showing a general concern for their fanbase.

All just my opinion.  When resolution is available, I will applaud.  How loudly depends on the future...

I can see what people mean now when they say EA customer service gives them the run around. My response from EA asked for my PSN ID, Birth Date, and email address when all that is clearly on my profile already for them to access. Sounds like they are just giving me the run around to buy time.

@nolesjs06: Think of it as part of their SOP (standard operating procedure). As a HelpDesk Tech, sometimes it is faster to just let them know your PSN ID, DOB, and email account used, especially if someone is on duty and just happens to see your query right away. Accessing a HUGE database to search for your account info take awhile.

However, I can also understand how your feeling about the "run around to buy time".

- I am SO glad to here that the my registered game promos will not expire. Even when I had PS3 firmware update 3.10, I was unable to get the DLC promos.

. . .I'm fine with waiting. I've waited this long I can wait longer. It's nice to finally get some official and descriptive response. It's a shame some people are still complaining and acting so unsatisfied though.

why is it a shame that ppl are frustrated and speaking out?
what is the proper internet forum etiquette for length of time before ones complaints are acceptable?
why is it acceptable to have a feasible solution but continue to tell people to wait?

Would those of us with a different opinion from yours be justified in saying "Its a shame some people are so subservient and bowing to the will of big business"??  I dont think so.

Do we really want to start wagging fingers of shame at each other after almost a month
of waiting?  This thread alone is 21 days
old.  This news is really no different than anything weve already heard other than the fact they identified the problem.  Beyond that, we already knew they were working on it and to wait...

Not trying to start any flame wars or forum beef, just dont agree with your calling out.  You be content in your world and I will be discontent in mine.

Not surprisingly Sony has recently been rated lower than MS and Nintendo on futures earnings.

With the way sony hoses customers w/ crappy FW updates, and now they are hosing developers by breaking their games w/ lame FW updates that are NOT tested

Sony should be responsible for doing something about allowing Devs to properly configure their test boxes to simulate the Production boxes.

What good is a test box if it has a diff config from the Prod servers? I see this issue at work as well. Our philosophy is to have all environments the same, but they never are, and 95% of the bugs were "not reproducible in the test environment" the IT group can't seem to ever change that

I cant believe you are bashing Sony on firm ware when you should be more worried about microsofts hardware issues specifically dealing with overheating. i have updated to 3.30 with no absolutely no issues. besides this thread doesnt have anything to do with systems or firmware, its dealing with unrecieved dlc

We're still looking at this issue. As one possible part of the issue that we're looking at, can you post which region your Dragon Age: Origins is from and which region your PSN account is set to?

I am in California, USA.  I bought the PS3 version Collectors edition and am now a day away from this all expiring and this is occuring?  I should have bought it for my PC and given the PS3 a full miss.  Very Frustrated.

See I have no life and have already beat the game once through. If I had waited the content would have been no use to me.

I will admit after using it for a while the feastday items are fun to play with. It will stick with me that I bought it as the only timely workaround I had but at least they weren't useless.

This ridiculous , a month to fix a simple problem.

I wonder how many people will just put a stop payment on their credit card charge for the game? The game box does state on the back cover that those that payed full retail would recieve free downloads , this would be a failure to provide the product as advertised.
