Hey guys! New to this forum so I'm not too sure if this problem has had a solution, but I would really love some help!

Basically been playing Dragon Age Origins since I got my PS3 (Just got past defeating Loghain). However my eject button stopped working and so under the warranty it went in for repair - however they ended up giving me a new refurbished PS3 instead.

Knowing that I would lose my data either way I backed it up, and restored it on my new PS3. So essentially this allowed me to keep my Dragon Age Data. However when I go to play the game, before it goes to the menu while it's loading it reads "Your profile data has been corrupted. The corrupted data will be overwritten. Your settings have been restored to the defaults" - and then when it goes to the menu it only gives me an option to start a new game - not load. And since I have played it for so long and progressed far in the game I don't really want to start all over again.

So my question is that is there anyway I can get my data back so that I can play where I left off and if so how? I know for a fact that my progress has been recorded on my Dragon Age account - as you can probably see in my player information.

Help is much appreciated

I am in the process of upgrading my HDD from 500gb to 640gb and the restore is still running. I will post again when the restore completes. It is not quite your situation but close same machine but a restore all the same. Fingers crossed.

the answer is no. Unfortunately, the DA:O's data on ps3 are locked, and cannot be moved on another system.

A lot of customers are furious for that.
