I'm not sure we have to kill them. All we have to do is keep them from invading for one galactic cycle. The Reapers are keeping the galaxy from exceeding their tech level by exterminating intelligent life every 50,000 years or so. Can you imagine Humanity getting 50,000 years of quality time to take apart and improve upon that tech?

If the Reapers miss one extinction cycle, they're cooked. They'll show up to find that their prey have moved several generations past mass effect fields, all the way to We Decided You Don't Exist, So You Don't fields.

We won't have to, the reapers are clumsy ****ers. The only reason Sovereign was able to take out the citadel fleet was because there weren't other reapers there.

Reaper one assaulting a fleet and winning when Reaper two comes speeding towards it.

Reaper one: Turn, turn!

Reaper two:aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Reaper one:aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

-reapers collide and blow up-

Turian commander: -facepalm-

ME3 will probably revolve around massing an army to fight the reapers and then we'll probably get an "ultimate weapon" against the reapers. Cause I don't think the entire galaxy would be able to kill off ALL the reapers in a single fight. I mean they are supposed to be these mega powerful god machines basically. And I think that the trilogy only follows the the whole reaper plot. There is an entire galaxy to explore and write about.

guys ive been thinking this over but how the hell is shepard going to kill all thoes reaper ships, i bet you all saw how many there were at the end of ME2. most people think that shepard blows up a star to kill all the reapers... what do you guys think??

To be honest I'm not sure they can be defeated. ME3 will be the start of the war with reapers and we may not win it.

They're going to move the citadel relay to a black hole and activate that ****. Simple.

I want to personally walk into each and every one of them. Then shoot their reactors for massive damage.

Probably something that allows para shep to kill himself to save millions. With another option for renegade shep that involves more civilian casualties but saves shep and the crew of the normandy.

The reapers die if they can't return in time.

-or-

There's a kill switch to destroy (almost) all reapers implemented by the creators in case the machines went a little wacky on them. Shepard must find it. (But one survives due to a glitch in the game.) After the Reapers are finished, the races break down and start fighting each other, created the setting for a Mass Effect MMO.

No, they shold make us gather allies and fleets in me3, undo civil war, and sabotage by batarians, and the like, and leave the reaper fleet to come into ME4....

Shepard finds an ancient prothean station that can create fleets and goes drunk with power. Liara leads a team of asari commados to confront him. Shepard somehow loses his memory during the fight and Liara reprograms him. Shepard finds out the truth later in the game and  the main choice is based on that.

or was that done already

We wont likely kill ALL the Reapers. Each faction we can get on our side in ME3 will increase our chances of SURVIVING the reapers, as a whole that is. The fleets facing the Reapers will likely be obliterated, but will destroy enough of the Reapers to keep the organic galaxy in the fight.

Geth/Overlord: They will likely provide network warfare functions similar to EDI in ME2. They won't just upload a single virus that will disable the Reapers' shields, but their continuous assault on Reaper networks will hinder communication and coordination between the Reaper fleet, causing them to break formation.

Quarians: They're likely to provide just pure Russian-style mass to our side of the fight. They have the largest fleet of ships of any nation, Citadel included, though many are patchwork pieces.

Rachni/Krogan: Ground troops to help protect populations from indoctrinated husk-like servants of the Reapers, along with possible reaper boardings to place sabotage explosives.

Council/Alliance: This will be the core of your fleet, determined by decisions in previous games. You're getting one or the other. If you kept the Collector base, the Alliance ships will be significantly more powerful individually.

Several other tools that have either only been alluded to or not mentioned at all yet will no doubt be missions of priority for Shepard to collect to increase the damage done to the Reaper fleet. Again, I do not think we will be able to completely wipe out the Reapers quickly, only give them a bloody enough nose that our annihilation is not assured.
