It because Jacob is a pimp. Think about it. He got it on with Miranda. His mere presence turns a perfectly normal FemShep into a dirty ****. And now he's got Kasumi going for him. He's like Shepard, except he doesn't get the aliens.
Hell yeah!

Also did you write the whole mission? If so, Hock was South African right?
Also, nice job with the whole recognizing our LI lines, the Tali one was very sweet

Oh, I didn't write Jacob (well, not in ME2; I wrote him in ME: Galaxy). My personal guess is because Ms. Shepard is a sexual tyrannosaurus and can't restrain herself while in the same room with Dem Abs.

Interesting. You should stop by one day and give the answer when all the theories die down. It is very cool to see you guys write romance outside of Shepard him/herself. It makes it all seem more alive. Previously it felt like Shepard was the only eligible bachelor/bachelorette in the galaxy.
On-topic: I don't mind this issue at all. With such a big team on board, it's only natural some characters develope their own tastes (in this case: Kasumi and Jacob). Makes the crew feel a lot more realistic imo. I wouldn't advocate that the entire crew should start getting it on with everybody though, as it would take a lot of power/flair away imo.
Off-topic: Kasumi just wants to claim the priiiiiiiiiiiiize. x)
Totally agree! I like the idea of the crew having a story that doesn't necessarily have to involve Shepard. I'd love to see some of my team happy.
And it's already happening anyway, Scale Itch didn't bring itself onboard, and I think Mordin refers to it an an "outbreak," which I think implies more than one or two cases... naughty crew getting up to all kinds of shenanigans while I moon celibately over a photo!

Would've played Galaxy if I had an iPhone, but such is life. Do you think that we'll ever be told why whoever *did* write Jake in ME2 wrote him that way? (I remain skeptical!)
I wonder what it must be like to never have a 100% stake in a character... I mean, even if one does create that character (have no idea who first came up with Jacob), the character can be given to someone else to write...
As for Kasumi herself, I can't speculate, because my DLC won't authenticate. I'm sure I'll get to play it eventually, though! The feedback from the community is so positive that I'm really looking forward to it.

I can't claim the whole mission. I came in early as relief when the original writer's wife had her baby, and took over from there. Hock is, indeed, South African.
Kasumi likes Tali. How could she not?

Kasumi likes Tali. How could she not?I don't think Kasumi would approve of all the online warring between her fans and Tali's fans (and she'd tell you that even as she secretly stuffs the ballot box in her favor).
It's not that the fans of other characters don't like Tali (we like her just fine)... we don't like Talmancers (because they are creepy).

We bear her no ill will, shes certainly a lot better than the other females (I'm looking at you Kelly, Miranda and Jack)
I think you really captured the feel of the Tali romance with that line, it certainly made us all go d'awwwww

Can you answer the question of why there's apparently no mention of Ashley/Kaiden as a love interest?

Just out of curiosity, if there was more time before ME2 was released do you think you would have given her a dialouge wheel, or would you just keep her dialouge like it is now ? And what do you guys think of our reaction, because for a character with no dialouge wheel she sure is popular.
Conrats to the other writer. In the mission I only saw one problem and it was the ending choice, it was a bit vauge on what the data was, will we ever find out, or is it going to disaperar because its either with Kasumi or destroyed ? Good moral choice though, I usuallly pick the choice that helps the ost but then its never realy a personal choice e.g genophage choice, I also thought destroying it would lose her loyalty, either way great writing.JayTurner wrote...
