I don't get all the multiplayer hate... Come on, a streamlined shooter-based RPG is perfect for multiplayer! Just balance the classes a wee bit more, and it will be a blast! I would personally love it.

If I still get my quality 30+ hour campaign I will be a very happy man. The multiplayer would just lengthen the already insane replay-value of the Mass Effect games. With multiplayer, you could play that game for years.

Multiplayer in ME3 is a bad idea however I would be interested in a Mass Effect spinoff featuring playable creatures from the franchise (excluding elcor). The combat would mainly involve class based combat derived from what creature you play as. Council species (Turian,Asari,Salarian,Human Alliance), and non-council species (Hanar, Drell, Quarian) along with other species/enemies of council (Vorcha, Geth, Bactarian). Large gameplay would focus on players meeting in groups to explore many planets and explorable and exploitable cities/colonies in an effort to further their own group (mercenary, military, corporate, or other). This option would be the best way to potentially use this franchise's potential for multiplayer. If you do not like my opinion I apologize, there is nothing more for me to say on this.

There was an argument? All I saw was a bunch of "HERP DERP WANTZ MP STFU NOOBZ".

Pretty damn easy when you're a retard like yourself.

First lets get one thing straight m8. You're not making a good argument about resources and nobody else here is. You think you are, but the reality is that no one disagrees that Bioware has limited resources. The difference is that you don't seem to understand that lately Bioware's resources have been stretched out developing count them: 3 games.

Bioware has not yet got into the thick of developing ME3 yet and I really hope they take their time with it and finish up SWTOR so they can devote their full resources to the project because I want it to be as good as it can possibly be. If they can handle developing SWTOR, DOA, and ME2 at the same time there's no good reason whatsoever to believe that developing some decent multiplayer content along with an even better core single-player game would in any way stretch Bioware's resources past their limitation.

Get real.

And if Bioware wants to sell this game as an action rpg that's fine. Whatever floats their boat. But the fact of the matter is that as far as combat is concerned it is more of a shooter than anything else. There are almost no RPG mechanics involved.

not every game needs multiplayer, the mass effect trilogy is shepards STORY<<<< not his multiplayer. Mass effect is solely a single player game, not a multiplayer. putting in multiplayer would ruin the story, look at modern warfare 2, bioshock 2. why do you think fallout 3 or any other rpg doesnt have multiplayer? because its not suited for it and it would ruin the story. dont like mass effect not having multiplayer then dont play it

Really? You're honestly going to start off your post with this? You are aware that you look like a spotty 15 year old mouthing off on the playground right now? Good, just checking.

Just because you are incapable of comprehending even the basics of developmental process and project management does not mean that the remainder of us are as berift of experience. Now if you would kindly demonstrate to me on a gantt chart how a planned and budgeted project can be re-organised to implement such a bad idea, I will be more than willing to admit that I am wrong. I will also promptly take said gantt and submit it as a revolution in business management, winning you global acclaim as a prodigy in the world of project management.

You see what I did thar?

Aaaannnnd here we are. Another player who thinks he knows what it takes to dev.

Son, go back to school, learn UML, learn Project Management, build a game from scratch, then tell me that one of the biggest names in the industry has their head up their arse by not including multiplayer in a game so obviously not suited for it.

Oh, and when your posts contain more flames than content, It's time to stop posting. :)

I got tired of reading...but I don't agree or disagree with this being in ME3.Do I think it will be? No. Would I disapprove? No. I like your idea about the Horde online mode.I think it would be fun.But I am personaly hoping ME3 takes the GOOD from ME1 and ME2 to make a long compelling end to the story. In other words I hope the game is to big to fit in this so callled"Multiplayer" modes...
