Hi, above is my laptop's specs. Priror to downloading the Kasumi DLC I have very little trouble running the game (I have Patch 1.01), save some occassional crashes and the NVIDIA bug that causes the game to crash at an N7 mission. However said random crash became VERY frequent after Kasumi. In fact, having Kasumi on anything other than her loyalty mission will cause the game to crash SEVERAL times during each mission. This is very frustrating and seem to be a unique case noone else is experiencing. Any support would be appreciated.

I'm having the problem too. My character is stuck on omega (when my game loads), and I can't even get back to the Normandy.

I noticed the same problem.

I have all dlc installed and i played about 130h from different characters, 0 random crash (was i lucky ?).

Since i got Kasumi dlc, i have one random crash every 30min ou 2 hour, not a very big problem (if it crash after a quick save) but i would like the stability back.

I play in insane difficulty and i would hate to get one crash after 30minutes of hard fight.

Exactly. Glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing the problem (not that I'm glad you guys have to put up with this...)

I was at Mordin's recruitment mission and at the last fight (Insanity Difficulty). I have to load cure-turn on fan-turn on another fan without any autosave inbetween. And the game is garanteed to crash somewhere in that prolonged fight.

Well, with the game crashing every 15min or so, there's no way I can get through some of the longer fights, such as the fight against Donovan Hock and his wave of mercs. Thx to Kasumi (whom I've anticipated for months), my game is now utterly UNPLAYABLE. I wonder how often does someone from Bioware actually replies to these threads and provide advice? Because I could really use some now:/

I'm having the same issue too! I noticed it after I installed the Hammerhead DLC and even with Kusumi its still crashing every 10-15 minutes!

Does your systems crash and you need to reset? mine does.

I have other games with higher graphics and they work perfect so must be the game, I hope...

Well my system doesn't crash. And the game functions perfectly otherwise. It'd be like it's running very smoothly and then all of a sudden out of the blue it just returns to Vista.

On a whim, I emptied my temp files (there were 1.3GB of em...) and the problem seemed to improved slightly, now it's down to a crash per hour. But still... any official explanation will be nice.

hmm im using windows 7, problems usually seem to amplify with it compared to vista. I'm gonna try and reinstall without any dlc in and see if it crashes.

well I think my issue is with my video card, seems dragon age freezes too.

Strangely BF2BC works perfectly full graphics with 1650x1080 resolution, and never freezes.

I notice mass effect will last longer if I lower the graphics, in my experience this means I'll be forking out more money on a new video card :(

Well I'll join the group. I've been having issues since I downloaded and installed all the DLC available. I think its a graphics related issue, because my computer will reboot (yes reboot) at certain points in the game. 1st time was when I awakened Grunt, 2nd time, for 4 straight times, is when I try to contact Kasumi on the Citadel, and this last time was when I was doing the mission for Zaeed and an explosion caught. My specs are:

what's really weird is dragon age will freeze too, but only on my login, it was working fine on another login (windows login) but mass effect 2 still crashes/freezes on both logins.

This only started happening when I installed the Hammerhead DLC, I'm thinking bioware sabotaged my pc!!!

What if you create a fresh new user account in windows and try playing from that?

Would you mind explaining why that might help?

Damn it Bioware, I can't play the game in its broken state and I'm in withdrawal! Help!

Beat the game 3 times before, no single crash, downloaded Kasumi DLC and now my game crashes straight up right after loading at the Archangels Base. ??? this is inconvenient

List your specs here, see if the devs can do anything.

try reinstalling then patch then install the dlc again,

or go into your mass effect directory and delete the kasumi from the DLC folder and see if it still crashes.

I had crashes but it turned out to be my video card which I fixed. Now I'm going to have to not thrash the living daylights out of it because the first sign it's on it's way out has surfaced.

Did it still crash when you removed only kasumi? Although you wont be able to load any save after you installed kasumi.
