As the title says I call shenanigans on the bazaar.  The reason for this is that there are far to many people with 10,000+ tokens.  How the hell does someone get that many tokens and why is it as soon as an auction starts and I mean as soon as it starts (2 or 3 seconds) the token amount is already 9000+.  This happens on every auction everytime.  Every bloody item is sold for around 9000 to 10000 tokens even the ****e ones.
A lot of peole on here have around 4000 to 6000 tokens.  What are we supposed to do.
Plus I call shenanigans on the Bazaar for letting it be USA only.  I think everyone from outside the USA should bet and see how many of the prizes don't get sent out.

Here's a tip Bioware, don't ****** off your customer base.  You have been warned.

The first problem is too many people taking advantage of the system for a massive amount of tokens. So the value of the token has dropped too low. The second problem is that all of the auctions are for multiple items (5 shirts, all posters, etc). If it was for 1 t-shirt, I would think the amount would drop to the point where the users with a more reasonable balance could at least attempt to win something.

I thought that at one point too, but I don't think it is the case anymore. People are just throwing tokens at every auction. Tokens have no value to anybody so they have no reason to not use them all up. There is no risk in making a bid, you lose, you get your tokens back. As a result, the people with a lot of tokens are bidding their entire stock of tokens right in the beginning. Resulting in an auction that is very little fun for most of the people involved. This could have been fixed though.

1. Tokens should be non refundable. Once you bid them, they are gone even if you lose the auction. This would force people to bid low and there would be more competitive bidding. Resulting in more fun for most people, even if they don't win they will at least get a chance to participate.

2. Allow a maximum of 100 tokens to be bid at a time. This would create a much more auction like enviroment and level the playing field a little.

I think you have a point there...I ALMOST have enough points to bid on something, and when I bid, someones already outbid me so I've never even been able to put in a bid.

I agree that #1 would stop a lot of the all or nothing bids.

#2 would slow it down, but I think it would get up to 9000+ in a matter of 3-5 minutes.

I just wish that BioWare would come out and say something about the huge gap in tokens.  A big percentage of users (I'm assuming) have no chance of even participating in the bazaar.  I have no chance of even getting to 9000 at this rate because my Facebook friends and Twitter followers have just plain stopped clicking my links.  I don't blame them, I've been bugging them every day for over a week.  And somehow all of these people have 10,000-14,000 tokens?

I would agree that the tokens should be non refundable once placed as a bid. It would certainly spread the loot out more besides to the people who are either obscenely popular on fb/myspace or who have won a lot of challenges.

i agree there should of been a cap on how much you could raise the bid. would of at least let people particapate more in the event instead the only way that us people with low tokens is really participating is the fact we are all on the forums unhappy and complaining over this whole thing.

Yeah the whole link clicking thing as an option is pretty crappy. At least the challenges the good ideas may end up in a future game in the appropriate series, even if they're free to them.

Even better is the d-bag that put up one of those link sites and everyone who adds their link basically link-clicks his link. Sickening.

Speed I clicked your link, bro. Good luck on getting tokens... I'd love doing the challenges, but I have yet to actually win one... and I'm not the dumbest of oxes so I'd like to think some of my answers were at least mildly funny ;)

Yeah, the referral links are the main problem. Instead of referrel links, BioWare should have posted a daily quiz. Each quiz would have questions based on their games. And each quiz would be timed, to prevent people from just looking up the information. You would get rewarded for each correct answer with so many tokens. If you don't know an answer, skip it and move on to something you do know.

This would have rewarded BioWare fans who know the lore from their games instead of people who are popular on social websites.

I think you're making much too much of this. The Rules say you can go home with 2 prizes max, meaning that you can either split it up and try to take 2 prizes, or go all-in on one and get it (hopefully). With 412 prizes vs. thousands of participants, I think pretty much everyone realized very soon that there will always be someone willing to bid them all. In other words, your tokens will ultimately get you one prize, and only one. So, why not spend them all to ensure you get the prize you want?

Indeed, but I have a feeling there was no way the marketing department was going to let them pass up all the free advertising the referral program would generate. I'm sure they'll take all the data gathered from the bazaar and make improvements if they intend to do it again in the future.

I hope they can adopt new ways of earning tokens, the Bazaar is a great idea, and I am sure BioWare is benefiting from it greatly, they just need to fix the token problem, it leaves many people behind without any way to gain any ground, as they will always be behind the people that end up not winning any prizes the day before.

first, go here

and then read this news article here

i hope im right too, cause better fan support for a company means better games. And bioware would lose a lot of fan support if they don't give something to the rest of the world.

It does seem nuts so many have 10k+ tokens. Anything under 9k seems to be moot :( . Here's hoping next time around they space out the prizes and short change the increments.

Clicked on all here, mine's in the sig :)

Wow a week ago I thought I would actually win something. I've won two twitter challenges and now have close to 7000 tokens. But no, some of us just have to get screwed. Oh well, there's always that other 15yr celebration aution going on, it's not like something like this isn't always going on....

That's exactly the situation I was thinking of.  When Karl calls `Shenanigans` on the fair.  Bloody funny.

As Cartman would say `Screw you guys i'm a going home`.

Sweet.   :D
