Hi!

So, I just bought Awakenings. Installed it, everything went great.

I started up everything and to my dismay, the game was running very very poorly. I have a XFX 5870 with the latest drivers, 10.3 The game is running at a 25-30 during fight scenes with just a few guys on screen, and that's in the starting area.

All the settings are on the highest possible and the resoution is
1280-1024. I cant imagine the hit at higher resolutions?

Is anyone else running a 5870 having the same kind of issues? I would have thought that card strong enough to handle pretty much anything for now.

So, just to test, I fired up Origins and the game is much more smoother than Awakenings. I'm quite confused now. Is it 1.3 that broke everything or something else?

I guess it cant hurt to list my other specs.
Windows 7 64bit
i5-750 at 2.66Ghz
4Gigs Ram
XFX 5870
