I was under the impression that, the heist is supposed to take place at the beginning of the game, when news of Shepard's return had not yet spread.

Well, technically you can't get a copy of Bad Ass Weekly at the news stand, and despite what the name implies it's actually such a cutting edge publication that the information within it becomes obsolete every six hours. More "current" issues have to be delivered to subscribers by ninjas when they come out.

The only problem I have with the 'aliases' was that everywhere else you get recognised as Shepard and yet at the party NOT ONE PERSON even so much as does a double take. Kinda sploilt them for me. Hmmmm and as for fighting only got to kill 2 mercs and those were in the security room.

I started a new game and went there before Omega so presumably noone knew I was alive yet. Also I remember seeing an interview with Samuel L. Jackson and he said he had no problem riding subways in New York. If people said "Hey aren't you SLJ?" he would just say "I get that a lot, but I'm not him." People would buy that. I think a lot of times people don't expect to meet a famous person so it's easy to accept that a person you see can't really be the person you think they are.

On the other hand, in one of the missions a merc datapad says something to the other mercs about being careful because "Shepard is with them." So if a stupid merc knows you, well some famous arms dealers would.

Still, it's interesting that the guests, murderers, smuglers, weapons dealers, etc will sleep better at night knowing Shep is protecting the galaxy.

I just played the mission, and it was hands down the best loyalty mission ever. I'm down for more of this.
